2.2mil the total package is good business for a player who has hardly played in the last couple of years. Will always remember that goal he scored against the viler at vile dark couple of years back quality!! Wish him all the best and im glad he is going to Bolton rather than a West Ham or a Wigan.

Inabit dunny - You deserve to be given a new lease of life after the injury torments here. You've tried to get fit but it hasn't worked out. Hope you get in the england team soon as well if you start to play regularly!

Big Sam is hardly a guy who takes a punt now is he - he's probably one of the shrewdest managers in the game!

he's bought players who we've never heard of for next to nothing and made them great players for Bolton. he also takes in rogues tha no-one else wants.

fair point... he makes more good signings than bad ones...

even shrewd people make calculated gambles though... sometimes they come off, sometimes they don't... i would be surprised if bolton had decided that dunn's fitness could be guaranteed... more chance that they regard it as an acceptable risk for £1m + whatever they agreed with him about wages, imo...

a fully fit dunn would cost £8m or more... if Alladyce doesn't have that sort of money he might think it better to risk £1m on a player who could offer them something new than to spend £2m on a fully fit but mediocre squad player...

he has cost us £8 million if not more

he cost £5.5 million + earning £30k a week for the last 4 odd years

considering he has only started 27 times in 4 years means he owes us a hell of a lot of money

On holiday.

He was a total waste of money, and a disgrace.. all the wages he had for all the months out.. when we went down.. did he offer to have a wage cut? Nope.
Yeah he was unlucky with injuries, but after the amount of money and time the club has spent on him he should turn down the offer from Bolton and stick with us till the end of the season. All the time when he was injured we always heard " he is dieing to get back into football.. helping bcfc strive forwards ".. and did we? NOPE. If we were realy that good to him he should stay.. in my eyes.. a total flop at bcfc, and a money grabbing ****.

You're obviously bitter

How in a million years is he a money grabbing whatever? How you can come to that conclusion astounds me.. he could have left 2 years ago, but no, he stayed with us and scored against the viler

how can u call him a money grabber, idiot!!
how dare u.
he was one of the big money players last year that actually wanted to play and everytime he played for us he gave his all unlike Melchiot etc...
its not his fault he kept on getting injured, good luck dunny, hope he'll be playing against in the prem next season for our sake and for his sake.

are you on a different planet ?

you telling me dunn is going to bolton and is being offered less money

you tell me a modern day footballer who signs for a different club and as a result is financially worse off

Doesn't make him a money grabber though

say you got a promotion at work, you wouldn't be a money grabber for taking the job would you

He flies out of Manchester in the morning (Weds) at 11:00 to America.

Flies back middle of next week.

So there might not be any official news for a few days.

Expect to see him in the ring at the end of the fight on Saturday Night/ Sunday Morning.

Andy.

pound per match he was not worth it. Was he a great player? .. I think if you average perfomance against total matchs blues played since he signed .. no. Granted he cant help being injured. I cant blame a player (or anyone) for taking the money that was his according to his contract .. thats not money crabbing that human nature. but....

BIG but for me, (and its just a personal opinion with no evidence to back it up) I think a lot of his injures and pulling up in matches was psychological .. I think a lot of average people doing manual jobs probably suffer more pain than he did ... if his injures were that bad .. surely he could not pass a medical? ... so I conclude that those doing the medical have knowledge that a lot of his problems were in the mind ... Bruce says basically a change of scenary will do him good and be best for all ... if you had spent 5.5 million .. plus wages on a player, that you really rated when you bought him ... you going to let him walk away! are you f..k your going to make him play .. so he dont want to play for us does he? ... be that consciously or subconsciously

I said somewhere on a post at the start of the season he would not play much this season and I would apologise if he did ... dont look like I'm going to have to ... he might have given us a few minutes of good entertainment ... but think his performance for us has been very poor

do i wish him luck? .. as much as I would any other stranger ... cus as a person I dont know anything about him

how many women do you know that have asked their boss for a wage-cut when they have fallen pregnant and are unable to work?

fantastic player and i'm just sad Bruce gave up on Dunn ever being regularly fit.

if you're reading Dunny, i hope you earn what you work hard for. good luck at Bolton, we'll see you next season!

and make sure you do the pinknoses at the Reebok!

hopefully we may get someone like Vaz Te in on loan perhaps.

I beleive that there were two huge mistakes made back in 2003.

1. BCFC signing you

2. You actually agreeing to sign.

Its always been obvious that your heart was never in the club, we were just a convenient escape route from Mr Souness's regime at Blackburn.

Good luck at Bolton although i doubt Mr Allerdyce will be as obliging as Mr Bruce when it comes to your twinges etc.

No offence but i beleive that the est £9m spent on your fee and wages over the last 3 yrs could have been better spent.

Crikey....we have some bitter fans don't we ???

Just imagine if some of you were laid off from work from an injury actually sustained at work and you tried to return to work but your injury flared up again and there were also many of your colleagues slagging you off behind yer back because you had to return home again......Bet you wouldn't be too happy would yers ???

Amazing treatment of one of the few footballing talents we had left at the club from the Premeirship fallout :silence:

Words fail me

Twinges? You mean injuries that stopped him from playing the game. Are you saying that David Dunn put his injuries on and managed to convince specialists that he was more injured than he was, and in fact went through career threatening surgery because whilst only having a twinge?

How is that obvious? I've always thought that he pretty much gave his all for the club.
