During the opening to last nights Match of the Day Live this is exactly what Alan Shearer said "I've been saying it over the last 10,11,12 years this might be our year. (Lineker " perhaps you shouldnt say anything). (Shearer) "I'm not gonna say anything but I'm really confident we'll get through to the next round. Put it that way"

That kind of insight shows what a good move it was for BBC to get him in as an "EXPERT"
