I'm getting a bit bloody fed up with clicking on threads here to find that they've vanished. can the admins explain why this is? I spent ten minutes trying to respond to a post earlier only to click send and find an entire topic vanished, a waste of my time. I understand that you may be merging threads, but I don't see them... something to hide? :banghead:

If they were regarding Upson thye have been merged into the sticky thread at the top of this page,

No have you got something to hide?? We arE getting a bit bloody fed up with having to merge them, as it seems some just ignore the pinned post and start a whole new topic on the same subject :banghead:

Well don't be such a petty little fusspot.

Tidy them up later on, or tomorrow, then you won't get your knickers in such a twist.

I find it really annoying when several 2 page topics get merged into a 24 page thread. The dialogue is totally lost, rendering the thread totally unreadable. See the Upson thread if you want a prime example.

I just don't see what the problem is with a few threads of the same subject.

Its an intellectual capacity thing isn't it.

Rules is rules is rules.

For goodness sake mods, this is a one off day.
A special day.
Of course people will be excited. Start a thread. Cross polinate whatever.

Just chill out and stop going crazy.
You can tidy up later on.

Get a grip & chill out as my kids say.

by the way this thread has been moved to questions for admin,

LMAO....

how ironic!

my initial post was just because I was confused, and fed up at trying to comment on topics, as you were moving them, if you'd explained this in a civil manner i'd have had full admiration.

In my experience these things normally resolve themselves. people aren't stupid, it minimises itself because interest usually settles on a particular thread. As mccp said, its a funny old night innit, tidy up in the morning, you've stopped people making their points.

shame on you.

I just don't see what the problem is with a few threads of the same subject.

The problem was it wasn't just a few. It was a new thread on the same topic (Upson) virtually every 5 minutes or so this afternoon, all saying the same thing.

Hang me if you like, but I merged many of the topics - at one point, 10 new topics in less than 10 minutes....... - Some posters even suggested and agreed with this.

Would you prefer to read the same (or similar) posts in 20+ threads, and then complain that Admin/Mods aren't doing their job, or to see all threads sensibly mergered into one thread. Seems that some days we just can't win. :ph43r:.

KRO,

C.

Was i not civil? I used your own terminology to describe how fed up we are with numerous posts all saying the same thing.

Surely they have made their point, in a new topic and as a result we have merged it into the bigger thread it does not lessen their opinion by doing so.
