is there any evidence to suggest that a 25 second delay is significantly better/more protection from flooding than, say, 15 seconds? some of us who can type a little quicker than others get to feel a little irritated by this control, and i wonder if reducing it is a possibility?
pretty please....

I don't know if you can or not as I can't see the Admin controls so one of them will need to answer your question, proc.

I personally think it's a message from God telling you you shouldn't post so much though ;)

If we could change it for everybody (apart from doctor nick) we might consider it. Seriously though, I'll speak to the other admin first and get back to you. **thumbup

It can be changed i think but i`m pretty sure the norm for most messageboards is around the 25 second mark.

It stops people posting more than once in 25 / 30 seconds. and flooding the board. **thumbup

Hi Proccy - After discussion, we have agreed to drop Flood Control to 15 seconds, although this is initially only for a trial period (currently unspecified in length.).
If any problems are seen with board access (i.e. long delays etc), or any excessive "spamming", then we will reset back to 25 seconds.

Let's see how we go..

KRO,

C.
