Whilst Leeds did have long periods of ball retention and had a couple of chances to possibly get level..... I never really thought they worried the keeper too much, and really flattered to decieve. I also agree with you that we do try to overcomplicate things......in and around the oppositions area we always lack the correct final ball.....or try too many passes around the box........and in our own area, sometimes it just needs the big boot......not the fancy footwork some of them try !!! |

Did Doyle have to make any saves???? We hit the post and their keeper made a couple of brillant saves, let alone half chances we had. WE ARE TOP oF THE LEAGUE!!! Loads of positives from tonights game and guess what? It was against a team that is struggling and that as been our down fall of late not being able to finish of lower teams. So that for me is improvement. |

Doyle - Safe but they actually EVER work on his distribution in training ??? Kelly - Excellent so good to see a RB playing RB Sadler - Best game in a while, did what he is paid to do & defended N'Gotty - Fair seemed to forget that he had moved to centre half on occasions Taylor - Defended well without his Ronaldinho turns for a change Larsson - Huffed & puffed but didn't blow any houses down McSheffery - So wants to get hold of the ball & get us going that he is now trying too hard & failing Muamba - Looks world class without the ball Clemance - Played too deep IMO but swept up and played effective 5 yard passes throught Bendtner - Best game since early December Vine - Good to see him get a start but how many of his goals did he smash into the net from the left touch line...not many I suspect....GET IN THE BOX MAN !!! Nafti - The Crab made a noteable forward pass just minutes after coming on Gray - The stats will say he entered the pitch Jerome - Works hard & tests defences to his own detriment looks a better sub |

I am not saying it wasn’t an improvement, it couldn’t have got much worse that some of the recent performances. However, whilst Leeds seldom troubled our keeper we hardly made theirs work that hard, not counting the last five min where they piled forward and didn’t bother to defend. We did a job, we just about deserved the victory but it was hardly glorious football and for long periods a neutral would have been hard pressed to tell you which team was twenty four places above the other. By the way Doyle made three saves, including getting a touch to the one that hit the post, whereas their keeper also made a staggering three saves. |

We are good in our own way. Some though seem to think we are better than we are, whilst others, me included, feel we should be better than we are given the quality in the squad. We are top of the league on merit but certainly not because we are making best use of our resources. |

I was just having a bit of fun - I agree completely - I think we've got the best squad in the division but really don't play like we have! |

seriously (for once!) would you rather be playing good footy and being mid-table or top and squeezing results out? remember, this is a transitional time with the prem as our aim i believe. if not, bring back bazza and lets get the party started! :D |

I'm not saying that we should play good football and be worse off! My point is 1 - we play poor and win we play well and win more! 2 - we don't have to play total football to play well we can play defensive and play well. 3 - results make me happiest - but I can't help but think there is more to be given by blues and they've not really looked like doing it this season. 4 - this standard of football won't keep us up if we get promoted (IMO) |
