hi, all just wondering again over transfer rumours floating around trent side regarding two blues players, these being neil danns and julien grey, apparently one or both are set to join forest on loan anytime in the next week,on loan till after the league play off weekend, with a view to a permant move in the summer, some were wondering why neil wasn't in the squad last night, was this any reflection on any transfer rumours. or is he injured. what are your thoughts of both players. |

I like Julian Gray, made some good goals and was great in the premiership. He went tits up for a bit but he deserves another chance. Should always be on the bench for when McSheffrey looks tired or gets injured. |

IMO Dannsy is a trier with determination and is a rarity at Blues - a midfielder who can find the net . See DJ Clembo Muamba Kilkenny Nafti !! Gray has occasional bursts of talent.. but neither is really good enough for long term Blues. codnorbluenose |

All players you named there apart from Kilkenny are Defensive midfielders. They're not there to score goals. |

I don't think that Danns has been given a fair crack of the whip in his normal position by Bruce, and his confidence has probably taken a hit on the treatment he has received in that respect. |

I'd be stunned if we were to let anyone go out on loan at this stage of the season. What would we have to gain? |

Danns' energy and engine will be very important in the Premiership should we get there. I think like Kilkenny he's been a little bit caught out by the physicality of this division and it hasn't allowed him to play his natural game in the few opportunities he's had. He's got a handy knack of popping up in the box at the right time as well, which is always a lovely talent to have. Gray I thought I'd never see again. I was surprised to see him on the bench on Tuesday, even more so to see him on the pitch, and hopefully it'll be the turning point in his career at the club. He's the only other out and out left sided player we have that can pressure McSheffrey for his spot or can come on to allow McSheffrey to go up front, and I'd be delighted if he can recapture the form that he showed when he first signed. Sending one, or both of them out on loan now would be unwise. Business end of the season, we can't afford to risk it. Couple of injuries, a piece of ill-discipline or a card happy ref for a match or two and the size of the squad comes into play. |

Dannsy has a great attitude and hasn't been given much of an opportunity. I also think he's had his natural attacking game knocked out of him by Bruce & Black. He deserves more time and a chance to prove himself. Gray has an awful attitude... great talent but awful mind set. Wouldn't really be missed IMHO. |

People might say how can you turn this into a dig at Brucie...well how can't you? Danns has ability, was a great player at Colchester and we have turned him into what? Nothing. A good player with potential has regressed considerably in less than a year. Another 800k well invested (not); if you were a player would you want to come to Blues? R U listening Sully? It might be convenient to think the fans are keeping signings away; have you ever thought that some young players might want to actually better themselves? |

We've wasted Neil to be fair. He looked like an immense player at the start of the season in his right position. For all his pace and determination against Liverpool in the cup (last 'proper' game I saw him in) he didn't show up. Your Luton goal was immense Neil, you're a class player. Hit the levels you did early season our kid! I'm not weird, I know he'll be reading this, he was on The U's board. |

I'd give my right leg to be a professional footballer... mind you I'd then be as good as Gray, so no point really. |
