How about this for an out of the box idea. We know the Upson money came in too late to spend on players so how about doing the next best thing. Lets guarantee to fill St Andrews for the remainder of the season by investing this money in its supporters e.g. - Drastically reduce ticket prices for the 6 remaining home games (say £5 adults, £1 concessions) - Compensate STH by giving 25% rebate The gamble is surely worth it. I reckon (rough calcs) this would cost the club somewhere in the region of £3.5m. Surely a full St Andrews would be worth this and add significantly to our chances of promotion - the Premiership money next year makes the gamble worthwhile. Other benefits: - addresses the shoddy way fans have been treated this year re:ticket prices - my calcs don't take into acct the extra revenue generated through beer sales, club shop, match day progs etc - helps builds fan base for next year regardless of which div we are in - makes the whole match day experience more enjoyable Seems to make perfect business sense and probably a better investment than the money we shelved out on Vine p.s. Perhaps I could afford then to take my 3 sons to all the remaining fixtures! |

25% off most season tickets is leaving a net cost of £17,00. dont quite seem fair that one. Surley the offer of £100 for the last 5 games was good enough? |

Point taken - clearly someone would need to do some better no crunching than me but its the principle of drastic ticket reductions and a fair rebate in compensation to STH to guarantee full houses and improve our chances of promotion - its got to be worth a few points that could prove all the difference |

I agree, but how? we could of course offer the paddock season ticket holders a free up grade to the upstairs, then offer £5-£10 tickets in the paddocks.......... There is 2,000 seats close to the pitch......... Could work, what do you think of that one then? :applause: |
