With the return of MF to the first team maybe a couple of games away, he could yet be the man to fire Blues into the top flight.

He certainly knows where the back of the net is, and I reckon he'd be on 20 goals now if he'd been injury free.

We've wasted so many chances this season it's not true.

Welcome back the Forss......now go get 'em.........

GRRRRROOOOWWWWLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! :applause:

i don't think we are - we're top and he hasn't really contributed anything so far, but i for one hope he's ok and fit to go - we need a bit of impetus and a firing forssell can provide it imo...
having said that, we shouldn't be placing too much expectation on him so soon after major surgery...

It is brilliant that he's back, i would like to see him in the squad sooner rather than later, i even think it could give our strikers (mainly bendter) a push. But if Forssell gets anywhere near he's best in this league we will win promotion!

Forssell was only any use when we had Dugarry. Alongside, Heskey, Morrison and anyone else he played with he was nothing but average, he was never on the same wavelength, he needs somebody who can read his runs.

A fully fit Forsell alongside Bendtner is something to get excited about, wether we see this before the end of the season is debateable.

The Forsse and Bendtner are intelligent footballers. Only personal egos and inappropriate tactics will fail to make this a very useful pairing.

Actually, the forse was superb playing alongside morrison...morrisons runs suited him perfectly; and he was credited with a lot of assists for Forsells goals.

Unfortunately, he didn't score many himself; hence the bullet!

Morrison had about 8 assists that year and he did the same with heskey just before he got dumped out of the team for Pandiani*

My mate's all said the same when Heskey and Morrison were playing together they were on fire, then they had one bad game, and El water pistol came in.

Anyway, I hope Forssell comes back ok, but I can't see him having much effect this season, and after seeing him for the first part of the season he isn't the same player that used to win us matches on his own, hope I'm wrong though. :)

after seeing forssell playing only a handful of games all season, and poorly i dont think we can expect or should expect anything from him, for this season at least. hes had a very long lay off and i know theres a lot of support out there for forssell but i hope that if he does get a few games this season and doesnt perform the fans dont start turning. because i think he needs a pre-season under his belt before we can see anything like the forse we all remember.

So in short, lets wait till next season before we pass judgement on him, and in the meantime give him as much support as we have been doing.

Good look forse, hope to see you hitting 20 in the prem again.

You're absolutely right with that one. Even Forssell has stated himself in Finnish media, that he enjoyed playing with Clinton, 'cause he created a lot of space for Mikael. Heskey wasn't that mobile.

only joking. i think he will be a threat upfront when he comes back. him and bendtner should be regulars upfront.

Forssell And Campbell maybe?

Campbell does a lot of running around, he also always seems to be there in the box if someone misses and always scores from short range.

Fossell and Jerome would be a better pairing IMO.

I know they played together early doors in the Carling Cup this season but Forss was not properly fit and Jerome was just feeling his way in. Jerome would do a lot of unselfish running which Forss needs alongside him.

At the AS-Nancy Match Forssell and Jerome didn't look too good, it looked better when Campbell came on for Jerome. But as you say, he wasn't settled then.

Imagine.

Fully fit Forssell being supplied by Bendtner, Larsson and McSheffrey.

I have. And it was really, really good.

Forssell only played alongside dugarry for around 10 games (if that). He played most of the season next to morrison, and they were both good together, morrison got quite a few assists that year, and that was when forssell was scoring for fun
