Is this the same Dave Jones who some people were saying we should have as manager instead of Steve Bruce earlier in the season?

What a joker, his comments are quite unbelievable, I can be the biggest critic of the Blues, but today IMO I thought we were Terrific.

All there fans agree with him...some of ther excuses included referee....offsided goal....and a penalty not given....as well as the pitch. None of them in my opinion no the ins and outs of football. Infact one fan on thier forum sudgested scraping the offside rule  what a joker! PMSL

You're right. At least when we lost at their place we admitted it was because we were pants.

Cardiff manager Dave Jones:
"We outclassed, outplayed and outpowered them, and the only thing lacking was finishing.

"At this stage of the season it is sometimes better to be lucky. Their goal could have been offside and we should have had a first-half penalty.

"It was a pudding of a pitch out there. It was a bog. I wouldn't put my horses on it."

No a happy bunny then Mr Jones? :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO:

Anyway, was he watching the same game as us? wtf**
Agree with the point about the pitch though. BUT why did our players handle the conditions so well, particularly in the second half, and his couldn't? Perhaps that's because we had the passion and the determination to win? :Blues:

That pitch wasn't waterlogged.

It had a lot of water on it but it was only towards the end that the ball started really sticking.

For real waterlogged think back a few years to the Crewe game that was abandonned at half time.

it was water logged down the wigs at the tilton end.

the ball just would'nt run on it in the second half but we managed to overcome that .

i think they outplayed us in the first half but in the second we did the busness .

and there was no chance of a pen for them i cant even remember seeing anything that would hint at one being given.

Didn't Blues have to play on that pitch too ?

Apparently not, we can walk on water.

Lets be real

Chopra should have had a penalty. If we'd seen DJ get tripped by a keeper in the box we'd be screaming for one.

The pitch was totally disgusting and someones head should roll for it. Does anyone really think next season will be fun if we go up and keep putting trash pitches in? The only reason we're happy now is because we're winning and that is just enough to counter terrible performances on a terrible pitch. Take away the winning and add a Premiership relegation fight and I can't see any positives for next season the way things are!

We created naff all in the first half and we were so deep it looked like we were the away team! In the second half things evened out but I didn't see anything that made me think wow we're going to cruise (excuse the pun) this. They still had chances and when we got a little momentum Bruce failed to build on it by not bringing on Jerome so it all evened out again.

Be happy blues, but be REAL :banner: :lager:
