Nothing for Gary McSheffrey which i think is wrong, obviously being a blues fan, but Gary having scored more goals and has a much much higher actim rating should have got this surely.

I think koumas is a very good player but just a bit undeserving of this award, Gary didn't even get runner up.

Also dissapointing to see nothing in favour of blues in the whole list of awards.

wtf**

Spot on but I just want the main prize and thats the Championship trophy. They can shove everything else where the sun don't shine.

i agree definately i want that trophy. But it would have been nice to seen his magical contribution to our promotion push.

What a stupid time to annonce the season awards when the season isn't even over.

Gary could (and we can pray) go on and score 5 hat tricks in the next 5 games, that'll teach them **thumbup

It's gary mcsheffrey for player of the season for me, why wasn't i consulted.

PS i also like clem, i have overlooked him for a long time but he has prove4d his worth to me.

That is mental. WBA weren't in the Championship for the first half of last year

Considering mcsheff scored 17 last season for Cov he has got to be on around 20 for year - plus about 470m assists.

I'm surprised McSheffrey finsihed so low last year after scoring 17 goals?

Imo Koumas is so over rated its untrue, if he was any good he wouldnt be playing for Albion, i dont see Man.Utd or Chelsea etc sniffing around for his signature, obviously another award that means absolutely Jack, given no doubt by so called experts, crazy decision, hes not that good ffs :banghead:

Got it from this:
http://footballspy.wordpress.com/2006/08/0...re-are-they-now

Top 30 Championship players - where are they now?
Tuesday August 01st 2006, 8:36 pm
How many of last season’s top 30 Championship players (as defined by the actim index) are going to be playing in the Championship this coming season (06/07)?

Well, the Premiership has so far claimed over half of them (16 to be precise - including nine from the top ten!), mainly due to the fact that the best players have mostly gone up with the three promoted clubs. Only one player in the top 30 has been transferred from the Championship to the Premiership so far (that is Claude Davis from Preston to Sheffield United).

This leaves the following ‘Top 30 actim’ players in the Championship for this coming season (actim index order in brackets): Gary Kelly (9th - Leeds), Jason Koumas (15th - WBA), Eddie Lewis (16th - Leeds), Darren Ward (17th - Palace), Paul Butler (18th - Leeds), Carlo Nash (19th - Preston), Cameron Jerome (21st - Birmingham), Steve Howard (23rd - Derby), Tommy Smith (24th - Derby), Clinton Morrison (25th - Palace), Jobi McAnuff (26th - Palace), Darren Huckerby (27th - Norwich), Graham Alexander (28th - Preston), Gary McSheffrey (30th - Coventry).

McSheffrey has been good but imo Koumas is the best player in this league. Most of the Baggies goals are created by him and it made them a joke that they loaned him out last season! Think that got them relegated on its own.

Well done Jason, hope we finish above you boys though

This is the same Jason Koumas who had a hissy fit and refused to play for the club that paid his wages until the manager was sacked isn't it?

That is interesting.

i agree with your implication he's a twonk, but you can't deny he's a good player...if we had someone like him we'd be 15 points clear imo....

I don't think so. He's been impressive in some games, totally anonymous in others. He's pretty much just a luxury player to me. I'd take McSheffrey or Dunn over him anytime.

Plus I can't imagine too many Blues players would take kindly to someone who refused to play for the club until the manager was changed. That would block him from any sort of personal rewards for his season in my view.

we have no-one who can control the game from the centre of the park imo, and neither dunny nor mcsheff can do it.
i hate koumas's attitude, but in fact a lot of the baggies players thought he had a case about robbo dropping him - as proved this season imo...

i like kumass and i have to be honst he is better than mcsheff but they are different players.

mcsheff is a winger and kumass is a CM

thing is i dout he would ever get a game in the center if he was with us, dunn was put on the wing in the majority of games i think SB would stick kumass there as well.

for some reason SB likes to have to battling midfielders there.

another thing as well would mcsheff be as afective in the center.?

i don't think mcsheff is a cm, nor was dunny - koumas is, and pulls the strings game after game, hence the award... ;)

dunny isn't a "controlling" player, he's a more a freewheeler imo. good though, i like dunny, just different to koumas's style...
