If you go in the Box and Executive entrance in the Kop there is the model of the doomed City of Birmingham Stadium.

Behind it is a big trophy. Does anybody know what this is???

It's not the FA Cup is it? David Sullivan bought the actual FA Cup a couple of years back.

No its on the floor and stands a couple of feet high and is about a foot and a half wide. I thought it had italian looking writing on it but the way its tucked in the corner it more looks like an ornament.

The Atari Soccer Six, the four team Anlgo/Spanish tournament from 1978, the Birmingham senior cup...the coronation cup? I give up.

I did see it one game this season but I didn't notice what it was.

Are you sure you're not mistaking it for David Sullivan?

No I know what David Sullivan looks like as you go up the stairs theres a painting of him and the Golds plus some blues fans on the stairs. (looks a bit tacky) You are also greeted by 3m high photos of David Dunn, Matthew Upson and Christophe Dugarry those great blues players.

Yeah I've been up there. David Gold said that that painting was not commisioned but a local artist did it of his own choosing and decided to donate it to the club. Now, I'm not calling DG a liar but I don't believe him...and yes it looks very tacky. Not quite as bad as naming a stand after yourself but it's heading in the same direction.

It's true, I know the artist.

He's done loads of players over the years and he takes the paintings to the training ground and gives it to them.

He never sells his 'artwork', he likes his subject to have the painting.

I can't tell you his name 'cause you called the painting 'tacky'!!

don`t get me wrong its a good painting but it looks the sort of thing that Sullivan would get commissioned. Its a bit like the Blues version of the last supper!!! :D
I( think I will have to e-mail the club tomorrow as I can`t seem to get an answer to my question.
