Iv just looked at our fixtures & i wish i never! I don't feel as confident as i did 10 minutes ago, I looked at ours, wba, sunderland & derbys as i see just us 4 going for the automatic slots, & we imo by far ahve the toughest fixture list, WBA have the easiest, sunderlands & derbys is easier than ours, we have tough away trips at west brom, norwich, wolves, leicester & preston, also home games against soton & derby will be tough, i honestly think our eyes will be open to where we are going after the next three games, Derby (H), Norwich (A), & WBA (A). feed.back

Rather be playing the so called "top" teams than Hull etc, if we had to play all the sides at the bottom, then i think Blues would blow it, but as consistently shown this season if a team actually plays football against Blues, Blues invariably win, so bring on the likes of Derby and WBA to my mind Blues need this type of fixture.

No not easy when you look at it on paper but we do have the best record out of the top 6 against those teams. I do think we will have at least one blip on the way, could be west brom away. But if we beat derby we can afford a loss. And even if we don't we might still get away with one.

It's going to be a rollercoaster ride methinks!! :banner:

We can only beat what's put in front of us!

I prefer this run in TBH, it means our fate is in our own hands. With a win against Derby and Albion would see us move well ahead of them.

Exactly - if we play a lower side and win and then wba, sunderland etc also win we are no better off. However, if we play wba and win we have just gone another 3 points clear. It really helps that we have the game in hand also.

we win 6/7 games out of the last 11 games and we will be automatically promoted.

Its as easy as that 20pts from the last 11 games and it doesnt make much of a difference because other team (wba and sunderland) will have pick up 25pts from 10 games to go ahead of us and I cant see any team picking up that amount of points because of the pressure of the run in.

The fact is its in our own hands being 4pts ahead of 3rd with a game in hand, its simple if we dont go up we only have ourselves (manager and players) to blame.

theres no such thing as an easy game in this league - lookat our record against the clubs in the bottomhalf - so called easy games...then look at our record against the top half much better and these are the so called hard games..it makes no odds whos playing who as anyone can beat anyone on the day here...forget the worry and enjoy it

Follow the link in the last message to see how we have fared with the top teams.

Makes good reading.

We've got the very good habit of not playing particularly well but still grinding out wins, it's not pretty but it'll stand us in good stead in the run-in.

I'm sure we'll make it hard, we always do, but my gut feeling is we'll go up automatically probably in the second place and not as Champions, but that'll do for me.

Despite everything that's gone at the club this season the players have shown great character and remained focused on the job which gives me great confidence that they'll finish the job off successfully.

Wouldn't be so confident if we ended up in the play-offs though.

I'd rather have a tough run in, our lads don't seem to perform as well when the game is low key.

It'll be interesting to see how the other teams perform when they are playing against so called lesser opposition. Complacency is just as hard to overcome as the opposition at times...
