With 3-4 good signings and getting the best out of the talented bunch of players we have, I think we will stay up at a canter next season if we go up of course.
just my opinion, im in a very good mood after wtaching our lads play the best they've played all season.

Keeping Muamba would be a massive step in the right direction - his tacking tonight was immense - lost count of the times he broke up a threatening move

He is a good player but because he has virtualy no ability on the ball he needs a passer alongside him. At the moment Clemence is slightly too similar to him.

His reaction at the final whistle I think proves that he loves it here.

I wouldn't be suprised that IF we go up he is our first signing.

I very hope so.

It was great to see him (not even permantely signed) Clem again ( captain fantastic) Larsson (our new signing) and doyle (just come into the side) were on the pitch a long time after anyone else.

A lot depends on Arsenal doesn't it?

Bendtner will not stay at Blues, regardless of promotion or not.(And as such, I wouldn't play him again unless as a Sub - if he could take it- which I doubt he would, so I wouldn't play him)

Bowyer will be available again. We might snatch Sheringham from Dubai and Harwood and Zamora could help our dressing room. :crying:

Its big money, on big wages, on big names folks. Lets be realistic though.
As much as we fight and strive, we need guile, skill and flair in the Prem.
As much as we love this team, we will get slaughtered upstairs.
We need another 10 or 11 players, and at Prem prices we ain't going to get them.

We ain't Reading, who have achieved mainly through their tactics and versatility.

Lets support our team, but for God's sake lets be objective.

Arsenal have just let Lupoli go for a pittance to Fiorentina, they let Bentley go for next to nothing, I think they'd be willing to listen to offers on Muamba simply because he needs another two or three seasons before he will be ready for the big time on a regular basis, and Arsenal clearly need a very quick fix if they're to not fall further behind the top two. £2-3million would get him I reckon. Bendtner won't stay though, not with big fish round Europe sniffing around and Arsenal maybe having to find another striker next season.

But enough of that, let's get to the Prem. first, then go shopping.

sorry!! letsby village/avenue what ever it is.

Is this not the same side that:

Beat newcastle 5-1,
Beat Sheff utd 4-2,
and outplayed reading who are in the top half, just losing 3-2,
and just lost 1-0 against liverpool.

with an extra 3 or 4 signings we'll be alright next season and will stay up if we go up of course.

Yes.
What about Hull, Southend, Ipswich, Southampton ?
Our level ????

How many signings did we make in our sojourn in the Premeirship nrlawton?
At what cost each year.
How far did we stabilise and progress ?

How much money do you think our board are going to sink in transfers?

3 or 4 signings ?

Good grief, we have Sheffers out for 3 matches and we are scrabling around to see if we can put out an attacking side.
We will be without Bentdner and Muamba.
N'Gooty and Jaidi are on 1 years.
And we have DJC Kilkenny,Gray, Nafti,Danns, etc who can't get into a Coca Cola side.

And you think 3 or 4 will do.

:LMAO:

I wouldn't mind us having a go for Sami Hyypia, I think we'd probably get him on a freebie too, if not then a nominal fee. One of the best centre halves over the last ten years in the Premiership and is not getting a game now. Not the quickest of guys but his reading of the game is second to none, put him with Tiny, perhaps Zat Knight or Silvestre.

Thoughts?

Reckon Man U would sell Smith also?
