Just thought Colin Doyle should get a mention. Commanded his area well and his kicking much better tonight.

Has taken his chance and deserves to stay in the side.

He's playing well. You can see him growing in confidence as well, he's much more comfortable shouting at his defenders now and telling them where he wants them.

He has a bright future.

I dont think he is as good as Taylor and dont grab corners like him.But just because we have had a cpl of good results he as hardly been tested.

Agreed - 5 clean sheets in 8 matches since he came into the team seems to have cemented his position.

He has also had great assistance from the back 4, although he was well tested against Sunderland, my first and only Blues match to date. Being from Ireland, I need to rely on Sky for blues coverage. Doyle has done everything asked of him... long may it continue.

Maybe future Ireland keeper when Shay gives up. (Geddit?)

Yeah hasn't done a lot wrong and I think he should be played for the rest of the season. He has spilled it a couple of times when saving long range shorts which is a little worrying but recovers quickly. His kicking from hand and from the floor is much better than Taylors.
Looks like he make the position his own if given a long enough run

Maik Taylor might as well accept he is on the bench for the rest of the season - barring some sort of calamity.

I was a bit critical of Doyle after his first couple of games, but as someone else said he is growing in confidence and commanding his area well. Well done Doyley. :applause:

Shay will be there for a while yet - undisputed number 1 for Ireland, but no understudy has emerged... Doyler has taken his chance well with the Blues, still only 21 and must be in the running for a call-up next Thursday.

However, sad to say, with the current Irish manager, one never knows.

At the time of the season I would still prefer Taylor in goal with his experiance, but tbf Doyal has made a few great saves
