Theres as much chance of us getting a points deduction as there is Damien Johnson scoring with a left footed volley.

.....oh wait.

No! Blues have to go in front of the FA and answer for the debacle of relaying the pitch, its not idle press gossip its fact get over it

So the Leeds game was postponed on 12th January and the hearing is on the 20th April. Now unless I'm mistaken that's 98 days to decide if we should be punished. :o

We've got midfield players quicker than that. :D

Were Blues sitting in mid-table with nothing to play for, then points deductions wouldn't even be mentioned. It's simply some sabre-rattling from the FA to try and show they have some control over the game.

Fine and a "severe reprimand". Anything else is pathetic. Two players received serious injuries on the pitch in the Newcastle match, to not relay it would have been utterly stupid, and a danger to the safety of everyone who played on it.

Call me paranoid if you want but I have this horrible feeling that because we're in such a good position in the league the FA are more likely to punish us with a points deduction than if we were lower down - just to show how powerful they are. I really hope it is just me being paranoid but ........

it will be our own fault if we do. not that we should'nt have put the one down but the fact we replaced the pitch in the summer with a substandard one.

but i agree i think we will only get a fine.

AS I understand it. After Bendtners injury, the Insurers got in touch with the club, and said that unless the pitch was improved,ie. relayed they would not insure the club. this of course included all Blues players an d also opposition players. This put the club in a intolerable position ,and left no choice but to relay the pitch.
This to me is good mitigation at any hearing. :)

I think it is fair to presume that the FA will have given us permission to relay the pitch so they are in fact co-conspirators...I wonder if they will punish themselves.

Im a bit of a cynic but don't the "big" people like to punish us?? The same way they changed the rules the year we were runners up in the Worthington Cup....We're a Midlands team, they hate us so I wouldn't put it past them making sure we don't win the league!!

Your going to believe the news of the world that were going to get docked points, basically they've printed the same drivel they did 3 months ago, nothings changed except they have got a date for the trial. Do they have any further proof that we will get docked points since the last time they printed??

I will be megaly shocked if we do get docked points, I just cant see it happening but we are Birmingham City and the FA are useless so you never know.

The rules were never changed in the year we finished runner up in the League Cup.
