Hasn't Bruce stated that Nik has been suffering from a virus? With that in mind, you have to question whether it has been affecting him, and if so, why did he play recently with a fully fit Jerome, raring to go. Nik has tremendous talent, but with his age, you have to appreciate he will make mistakes. Bendnter isn't the finished article, much like Jerome, and therefore you have to be patient. At his age AJ, was barely starting. Let alone, being a regular in the side. Its a learning curve, so you have to take the rough with the smooth. Laziness can often be mistaken for lack of confidence. |

Because Bendtner is miles class ahead of Jerome. Even a half fit Bendtner is miles better than Jerome |

Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Pele, Franz Beckenbaur to name but a few. Truly great players who all worked their knackers off for their team. Being a great player isn't about doing 1 or 2 incredible things in a game it's doing them PLUS working for the team. Bendtner doesn't seem to realise this and it's time someone told him. If you think Bendtner is a great player I suggest you take a look at some of the games featuring those mentioned above because you've missed out a massive chunk of your footballing education. |

Bruce says bendtner is suffering from a virus but i first noticed he was lazy wen we played cardiff 3 weeks ago, he may drop back to help defend but he cant tackle he just gives away free kicks and when we win the ball back he just walks back up when we are trying to hit them on the counter. IMO Vine and DJ should start with jerome on da bench. Bendtner will never survive back at arsenal. |

And it says it all that you have to name four of the greatest players in the history of the game to find people who meshed undoubted ability with gigantic work ethic. Those types of players are incredibly, incredibly, incredibly rare. It really doesn't help the anti-Bendtner argument when the players you have to compare him to in order to discredit his ability are among the best to have ever played the game. You're right. Niklas Bendtner is not as good as Pele. I fail to see why this means he shouldn't be playing ahead of Cameron Jerome. Pele was better than him too. |

one of the laziest players i ever watched was Jimmy Greaves, drank like a fish , go check his goals record out. you have Damian Johnson who gives 110% every game but he gets stick as well,Bentner gets stick because he appear lazy, bentner is a talent who is at blues to learn his trade but sadly we will not see the end result,my critisism would be Brucies over use of the lad,it dont do him any favours , just off the top of my head 3 of the most laid back players i have had the pleasure to watch were, JIMMY GREAVES BOBBY MOORE FRANZ BECANBAUR, were they lazy or talented.. |

As someone else said i makes me laugh that we have people slating a certain captain of ours as he apparently "runs around and tackles but doesn't do a fat lot else" and then we have Bendtner who "is a very very talented young player but we don't want him because he doesn't run". Can I propose a solution? What say we have Jonty in the team to break up play and make the challenges and Bendtner in the team to slot the ball home and do some classy footwork? oh wait.... What I would say is Bendter sometimes could do with chasing balls down, he is sometimes too quick to decide a ball has gone and that there is little point following it. A touch arrogant too if we are going to explore this further, but I tell you what in a few years time I will grin and say to my kids, guess what I saw him play in a Blues shirt & they won't believe that a player of his calibre made his name in royal blue. |

Choose one a)running around like a headless chicken with zero productivity b)lazy but that one glimse of undoubted talent that can change a game in a team lacking technical player's so to speak |
