is blues acadamy going to bite the dust ,it seems lots of clubs are thinking of scrapping them as they are not producing enough talent my view has long been that they have never worked more so for lower clubs as all the better players are creamed off by the better clubs with more money to throw around, i would think in a couple of years they will be gone. the fa need to really look at grassroots football and do something about it.in comparision to other countries we are light years behind in all aspects of grass roots football, time for a radical change. |

A lot more thought has to be put into our acadamy, because imo even if we can produce one youngter a season it will save us a lot of money. We must keep our acadamy going imo. |

i think our policy of raiding other acadamies is better, if you put millions in like others are doing and the big clubs like man united are saying its not working ,then it needs looking at. |

We have to look at restricting players from abroad if we are to get good players for England. Look at Italy only something like 20% of their players are from outside Italy. |

We should intergrate all the small clubs academies together and pool there resources to have a football school of excelance for the midlands. The clubs could still have satelite academies for the younger kids etc. If we were the driving force behind this then surley we would be able to cream of the best tallent. Just a thought. This could be part of the City of Birmingham Stadium project. |

i think all clubs should take a trip to some clubs abroad and see what proper grassroots football is all about, then come back and start to change things. we have promised lots over the years but never seem to deliver. |

The whole concept of academies will never work until something is done about the 'big' clubs creaming off the best talent. |
