Heard a report on radio 5 that the pitch at Wembley has been described as a pudding and reports from newspapers on SSN suggested that it cut up bad after the England training session. If our pitch was the reserve for Wembley and assuming they are from the same supplier it would be hypercritical to be punished for the problems we have encountered?

Off to Wembley myself on Saturday anyone else going?

2,356 days after England players last performed on the hallowed Wembley turf - and the new pitch cut up just minutes into their training session on Wednesday. (The Sun)

I find those reports unlikley when there was a full match played on teh pitch only a week or do ago.... surely the pitch would have cut up then if there was a problem?

If the pitch is cutting-up (I personally don't know if it is or isn't - perhaps The Sun might be wrong :o ) then the problem seems to be with the way it is laid and prepared, does anyone know if the people who laid the St Andrews pitch are the same who laid the Wembley pitch (supply and installation are different things)

If there is a connection, then surely that points to either an incorrect procedure or incompetence on the part of the contractor and possible legal action against them?

To be fair, I saw the clips of Englands training session and the pitch looked to be cutting up, there was lots of loose debris and some rather large divots.

The head groundsman was just on sky sports news, saying it was to be expected because even though the pitch was put down July 06 it was under cover, so now its open he said the roots needed time to bed in, (sounds the same as ours folks) feed.back

My main point being how can the FA take action against us (I never thought they will) when clearly they have the same problem.
