Look Letsby we can stand either side of this arguiament and call each other names if that's what turns you on, or you could try to understand what I dais in the first place and then we could move on. Which would you like.
Oh by the way, I removed my post becuase it wasn't quite what I wanted to say. You were too quick to jump on someones minor mistake, but that's you I guess.
Just be man enough to admit you got it wrong and move on FFS,
You tell him salad.
You just can't admit when your wrong can you Wisel? very sad!!
But I'm not wrong, Letsby changed the debate. Why did you get involved? Are you Letsby's keeper.

I get the impression the club are panicking about next season, trying to keep fans happy by backing The Sun and there very good campaign, but as usual cocking the whole thing up yet again.
If the club can repeatedly make such a shambles of such a basic issue as ticket pricing what does it say about the quality of the behind-the-scenes management ? Hardly surprising that they make a mess of things like the pitch and the big screen or that our marketing has been so dreadful over the years (resulting in a smaller fanbase than norwich, ipswich or leicester).

Poll: Ticket Prices What would you pay????????
Ahhh, I see. ;)
I'd pay whatever I need to to get a season ticket, although I'll moan like hell whatever the price. It's gone up a bit since I used to pay 1s 6d (7 1/2p) when I first started watching Blues.
The man/woman in the street is rapidly being priced out of the game, I'm afraid, but clubs (not just Blues) have got us over a barrel if we want to watch our team and indulge our hobby.
As long as players are paid these ridiculous amounts of money and fans pressure clubs into paying over the odds to get players, then I'm afraid prices will remain high. The only hope is if all clubs decide on a top earnings limit for players and a top transfer amount. But I can't see that happening.
Fans will always look at players like DJC and, just because we didn't pay much for him, will write him off, so clubs have to spend the mega bucks and pass this onto the fans to pay.

Its nice to read that you don't just blame the board for this problem that affect every club.
I wish more people would not just hit out at the easiest target which is the Board.
Don't get me wrong they are not angels and have made some stupid mistakes.

So high prices are because we the fans demand big name players, so what happened this year then. Season tickets at viler are actually very reasonable, cheaper to watch big name players big name teams than to watch coventry stoke etc. Sorry but i think blaming fans for their demands is a cop out.

Its all old news to me this was areadyo n teh cards before any other teams dropped ticket prices. It was part of the offer to season ticket buyers at the start of teh current season. Those who havent brought a season cant moan that they wont get there discount as they never stood by the club when we was relagated and decided to choose the games they wanted to go to if any whereas season tikcet holders have shown there loyalty and deserve the deduction.
so what your saying is it's ok for the club to price people out of the game they love and have supported for many years? there fans out there who cant aford £380 let aloan 475 and it's these fans we need back. sure there some that have said no i wont pay this amount anymore and i count my self in that group but what about the others?
i know what you are saying and understand where you are coming from and i agree that the ticket prices are to high and need to be brought down i was just stating that the 20%discount was from the start of the season and was offered to the fans who brought or renewed there season ticket at the start of the season. I understand that the working man has been priced out of the game of football that we all love and want to go and watch but i was replying to the K.Brady comments on the 20% discount not the actuall ticket prices and I admit that i did go over the top with my comments about people not being loyal but it angers me when people moan that they are not getting there 20% discount on there tickets when they new at the start of the season this was going to happen.

i see your point i'm not moaning about not being able to get 20% off.
i am happy with the disision i made at the bigining of the season.
i just think the club should rethink this instead of being all ' tough you never bought one at the biggining of the season'.
dont forget without the fans this club is nothing and if they want the true supporters back then they have to bite the bullit opologise to the fans and lower prices all over the board.
i wont ever buy an ST again untill they drop prices and i sertainly wont pay £45 on a match day ever no matter who we are playing.
this new tv money could distroy football it sounds odd dos'nt it but if you look at it more money will meen higher priced players and more in wages .
if it do'snt stop no one will be able to afford it.

true true and i will be purchasing another season ticket but i do hope that they will maybe lower the prices aswell as offer the 20% discount if we are to get promoted as we will need the crowds to acta as the 12man.
Ther was a post on here a few weeks/Months back about blues selling to a billionaire. I got slated on that for saying i would rather have the owners now and try and build through youth to make the club succesfull rather than buying our way to trophies. I dont want us to become a club just going out and wasting money on over priced players as when we do wel if we do win something then it will be more enjoyable than if we buy the glory and this is where the money is taking over football and its ruin our game so i see what ya point is about that .

The thing is.......
I paid full whack for my season ticket last season, then declined the 10% offer there and then in favour of the 20% offer now. If all ST prices for renewals are to be cut by 20%.........then I want a total of 40%......or at least 30% which would take into account the 10% that people took last season.

i would never tell anybody to not buy an ST this is my personal choice and it's up to the individual on what they want to do.
it is a good point that you make about billionaire owner yes it can bring trophies and what not but at what price doe's it leave the club in when the next fad comes along.?

i can see your point , you want what was promissed and that is that , now you feel a little let down because everybody who renewed can get the same deal as you even though you could have saved a bit of dosh if you had taken up the 10%discount when offered and be better off now due to the 20% you would now get.
but saying that the club will still ony get about 12,000 renewals on that so there exspecting and banking on promotion so more fans will buy ST's because there basing it on what happened last time we got up.
this time it's not such a novelty so i can see a majour increas.
i dont know of anyone getting an ST next season simply because they cant afford it.
which is why i think it sould be made available to everyone.

You still don't understand do you. You would have to ask to get it explained to you. As a hint you could try re-reading the actual words again, instead of making assumptions, and making yourself look daft.
Oh you still didn't answer why you got involved in the debate. Such a minor point, yet you want to make world war three out of it, why?
If you really are serious about trying to prove me wrong, how about a bet on who is right, say £100. Otherwise there is very little ineterest in just continuing this sillyness.

The current offer appears to be only for those who paid full wack this season if you read the web site announcement.
Supporters who opted for renewal for season 06/07 with 20% off season 07/08 can now purchase their season tickets for next season's campaign from today.
There is no mention of those who opted to take the 10%..Personally I think this will be announced later and tickets will be available for those after 2nd June....at a higher price.

Are you Letsby's keeper.
no im not his keeper, he didn't change the debate, he stated facts that you got wrong, but like i said your not big enough to admit you got your facts wrong, sad so very sad
"The people who have paid full whack this term and who have seen various ticket pricing actions give people abetter deal than they had by buying the ST"
that is what you stated, that is in fact wrong, letsby pointed this out to you which you chose to ignore/go off on a tangent.
No one as started WW3 but if you wish to think that and be a drama queen feel free to carry on ;)
I got "involved" in a debate silly me  but as it upsets you so much i'll end my part in this particular debate, and leave you to it after all its just "sillyness" :silence:

You still haven't said why you felt you needed to get involved.
You are still wrong but cannot see the wood for your own assumptions. Just keep stating the same thing over and over again is not going to make it any more right.
On the other hand, if you ever want me to explain what was a very light remark that has started wwIII for you, then just ask, it's dead easy. An early 'Wisel, what did you mean by that', would have been a good way ahead, rather than the both of you getting all defensive for some reason and attacking a thought you just did not understand.
Or you could try taking the comment as just purely opinion (one I stand ny BTW) and a mild comment at that, and just move on. About five posts ago would have been a better time, but better late than never.

How about the "loyalty" of being one of the only 700 people to buy a season ticket for the first time this year? Current s/t holders are given a rough deal by the board...even the club shop vouchers weren't able to be used on Lonsdale Products...so i want a 20% reduction on a £2.99 keyring?

What about those of us who got a half season ticket this year? Will we get the discount?

was it offered to you at the time you bought it? if not then I wouldn't have thought so -
I have spoken to club about this and they confirm that the only people getting the 20% discount are those that bought their tickets by the deadline of 30th June last year and paid full price for them - ie no 10% discount.
The prices of tickets for everyone else will be released shortly
