Fair play to the guy, scored 17 goals in the Premiership, they'll get him fit thats for sure, just like Blackburn with Dunny.

for once i feel sorry for the player, good luck Mikael. needless to say Blues were warned... he failed a medical at Everton, that alone would have been enough for me to be put off. Just feel Steve was too sentimental towards the player that had scored a lot of goals for us in a prevoius season.

good luck The Force!!

Well i find this ridiculous.

Bruce bought him, when we knew he wasn't fit. Bruce was adamant he wouldn't play until towards the end of season of our last Premiership campaign. Yet played him at the start and this clearly took its toll, and he got re-injured.

He then did a similar thing this season. He did not have sufficient recovery time, however not playing the Force towards the end of the season, was looking like Bruce had learned from his mistakes, and next season the Force would be ready to start fresh, with ample time spent recovering, strengthening getting fit, and with a good pre-season under his belt. We could have assessed him, this season.

Solskjaer was out a good couple of years, but then came back. The difference, Man Utd took the time for the player to recover, sufficiently before training. ...and enough training before being considered for competative play.

Every oppourtunity we've rushed him back, when hes not looked fit. Finally hes got reserve games under his belt, and we cut loose.

I don't think we could take any longer with him, he was one of if not the highest earner at the club and he wasn't playing. His wages will be used on someone who will play

So 'may the force be with you' is errr no longer with you?

I'm glad he's going to a team that are unlikely to make us pay for a potential mistake in letting him go......AJ anyone?

typical of modern footballers !

If you read the article because the player hasn't asked for a move (although his agents probably mentioned it) he's expecting a severance payment !

How about accepting the fact that you've spent a year and half earning 35k a week for sitting on your a4se as 'severance' and let the club have the money as compensation for funding your rehabilitation ?

Sad it didn't work out for the forse but!
I don't feel sorry for anyone who since signing here about 104 weeks ago has been receiving £25,000 for each one of those weeks.

It's the job we've always dreamed of having lol! :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO:

Good luck to you Mikael and thanks for your goalscoring efforts.

The board who brought him in, not Bruce. Bruce didnt wanna pay the £3million for him becuase of his injuries and the risk but the board bought him anyway.

well he told me after the sheff wed game that he was staying for one more year

I was there too after the game and all he got asked was whether he was staying to which he answered "I have one year left on my contract" thats all he said, not that he was planning on staying or not.

He obviously didnt want to say he was off, what player would say that to a bunch of fans asking him for autographs?

some times a move is best for the player... he didn't look like the same player after we signed him (I know he has been injured) it is probably best for his career

I think this is another issue where the board have accepted the offer and not Bruce.

They would much rather gain £1 million and stop paying very high wages for someone out of action for 2 seasons then let him stay in the squad.

I am still of the opinion of out with the old, in with the new. But £1m for him is ridiculous. He is still a quality striker and from what I gather he is being sold against his will. What kind of impression does that give the other players in the squad? If you get injured and still want to play for us it doesnt matter 'cause you'll be booted out the door for the first bid? "no"
