if Brucie could calm him down and if he finally matured, Id love him here, but the fact is, if "Psycho" Stuart Pearce couldnt calm someone down, I doubt Brucie could. And also Barton looks like finally maturing, and then suddenly does a stupid thing like drop his shorts at Everton, and then opening his big mouth about his team and team-mates |

I would love him so long as he doesn't get sent off every game he plays, he is a cracking player and maybe he would be a key player at the club |

I wonder if there would be another row between manager, board and fans if we decided to buy him like Bowyer. It could tip Bruce over the edge and we dont want that do we. I for on would love him here, who cares what he does in his personal life as long as gives 100% for Blues, no one is perfect. the guy is class. |

It's not his personal life when he beats up one of his own team mates, putting him in hospital. It's not his personal life when he stubs a cigar out in a team mate's eye. This bloke is an absolute thug and a disgrace to football. Steer well clear of him. |

Not a good role model for our younger fans, so NO for me also. He seems a brute and acts like an animal towards his own team mates. :copno: |

At the end of the day, it's the board and managers decision and we have to respect it. < < Bruce knows what he's doing. < < |

I forgot to add this one: Barton ended up in more trouble during City's pre-season tour of Thailand in 2005, when he physically attacked a schoolboy Everton fan and had to be restrained by team-mate Richard Dunne. Barton was subsequently sent home in disgrace and fined eight weeks' wages. Is that the sort of guy you want at Blues? "no" |

I would trust Bruce on the matter, If he believes he can control Barton, who by the way must know he needs to fix himself soon or bye bye, then he has a good enough record with bad boys to make me reasonably happy. |

I would definatly sign him if we could, top quality player, been in the England squad, I would take him, he needs to move on from Man City, and 'start again' so to speak. Great player, few issues but cant argue with his ability on the pitch |

He would probably pick a fight with damien johnson first and knowing DJ he would give as much as he got. :LMAO: But no seriously he is a good player but too much of a thug in my opinion. |

I really am worried by the number of people who say they would welcome such a lout at Blues. Aren't you in the slightest bit worried about what he might do to wreck the spirit in the dressing room? We can do much better than Barton. |

Creative mid who scores goals. People labeling him as a thug, on issues which they know FA about. What did the Everton fan say to him, why did he fight with Dabo and the youth player. These are things we know nothing about except paper talk. Motivated, comes across pretty clever on the box aswell - and so he says his opinions about their team - i think fair play, and that team should have the balls to admit that they are underperforming. 10 goals in 19 home league games, and they dont expect criticism, how about Roy Keane, so called 'thug' etc, but one heck of a player - id hate Barton to play vs us, but love him on our team. |
