Promoted Birmingham want to lure Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster, currently on loan at Watford. (Sunday Express)

Errm... What's wrong with Doyle < <

I also find Foster to be VERY Overrated. TBH I'm not sure I want him here

Ben Foster is quality. No two ways about it.

However, unless we're going to sell Maik Taylor...I don't think we need him.

The word from the Watford camp is that he makes a lot of silly mistakes and has cost them a lot of games :ph43r:

Definetly not needed. Sure he's made some good saves but he's also showed us that he's quite adept at big time cock ups. Paul Robinson scoring against him?

Whereas Doyle has been rock solid.

The only reason to be looking to bring in Foster on loan is if Doyle is leaving.

Foster is not overrated, he is a fantastically gifted goalkeeper who has earned every plaudit he's gained in the last two seasons. Having said that, he'll most likely be taking over from Van Der Sar next season, so it's fairly academic.

Doyle doesn't deserve to sit on the bench, Foster wouldn't be going on loan anywhere to play backup, so I doubt it very much. Having a player of the experience of Maik Taylor in reserve is a much better option, keeps Doyle on his toes and we all know that Taylor has the ability to play in the Premiership as he's done it before.

I would imagine he was on loan cause he believed a season as a number one would be more beneficial than a season as an occasional number one.
