OK I admit we should not have but needs ust and we went in the home end. In nice and early pint and a pie, settled in seats and behaving. Joined in chorus of Chim Chiminee, well you have to. Applauded everything politely and did not even look at anyone out of line. Ten minutes in and the guy next to my son gives us dogs abuse and tells us to get out etc etc I buy a season ticket blah blah. Either way the attention is now well onto us so we decided to move .
Stewards were great when we explained and offered us some other seats, we turned them down because by then everybody knew where we were. Head honcho comes along and after a bit more explaining quietly put us in our supporters. RESULT. Not only that but my son caught one of Seb Larssons boots at the end.
So thanks to the meathead wannabe thug! and thanks to sensible stewards.
Possibly the first and last time I try that one though.Certainly not at Preston!!

Think you were lucky, John.

Many others would have been chucked out - maybe you would have been if you hadn't been with your son.

Maybe that explains - not just because of you 2 - why the away end was crammed, with loads of Blues fans standing in the gangways. Surely a major health and safety issue. ??

Nice to hear your lad got one of Seb's boots - lucky again - but I'd have preferred it to have gone to somoene who was "officially" in the away end... (Not having a go - just a personal opinion - well caught !.)

C.

We (me, Mandy & Jo) had loads of problems because of that.

In the first half, the stewards were stopping anyone from standing down the front, or in the gangways. That was fine - apart from a constant stream of Preston officials/staff going backwards and forwards in front of us.

In the second half, the police took over along the front but did nothing when loads of fans came and stood in front of us and in the gangways. We assumed they'd come down from seats further back. At times, we had difficulty seeing the match, and I got caught up in a minor crush as angry blues fans pushed forward when Jerome got yellow-carded. We decided at that point that we would be safer by pushing ouselves in amonst the standing fans in the row behind. :(
