Perfect and realistic starting 11:

Doyle

Kelly Jagielka Jaidi/Taylor Sadler

Larsson/Rommedahl Kilkenny Clemence Mcsheffrey

DJ Forssell

i would like us to see if we could loan saha from man utd but i cant see saha coming

That side would be lucky to get 20 points over the whole season

I would have to agree with Sam, I cant imagine that team faring too well. Jagielkas a good shout though.

A must have is a good start to the season, and to get points as quick as possible. That takes all the pressure off you. It happened in our first and second seasons

A complete new back 4. Sadler, Taylor, Jaidi and Kelly are not good enough at this level.

Agree completely. Kelly might be ok, but we basically need a new back four. That should be our priority rather than signing more strikers, imo.

I think that several of our players will find themselves as squad players. Kelly could be ok, and to be honest, I think Sadler could make the grade given time. Jaidi and Taylor are good back ups but we need better. N'Gotty is past his best.

And that's just the defence.

However, I still think they played a huge part in getting us promoted.

I want to add a special mention to Taylor who I thought was unfairly pilloried, but showed what he could do when given the opportunity. He certainly made no more mistakes than Upson was making, but I don't think he will be good enough to be a starter in the Premiership.

not as a 31 year old he hasn't

do you think alladyce would have sold him if he was still up to premiership level ?

do you think he would have dropped into the championship if other prem clubs wanted him ?

Granted there are other players better than him but they're not really within our reach. I'm sure a team like Sheffield, Wigan, Watford, Fulham, Charlton etc would have took Jaidi straight away, he was offered to us.

Agree, but we must not fool ourselves into thinking that Taylor has suddenly improved as a result of playing in the championship.

Same goes for Clem.

Decent squad players at prem level, looked much better against inferior opposition in the championship.

Tiny's 27, Clem's 29 : they aren't going to get much better. They are basically the same players who struggled to get into the team when we were relegated.

As I said, I think they will both end up as squad players. I'm not sure who I would go for as replacements, but I do think a lot of British players are overpriced, so I hope our European scouting network is good.
