Its nonsense - just based on number of seasons in the football league, so those teams who have been around for longer have got more points - hence Grimsby at number 21 and Tottenham at 37. To make it meaningful it should be weighted so those points you get in the higher leagues are worth more, and the total should be divided by the number of season. |

Only when relegation or "test matches" were involved. Its a perfectly good example across the whole of the English football spectrum. If you want less points for a second or lower division team, work it out, blues would be far lower, having spent more time out of the higher divisions. The vile would be higher if you wanted a weighted balance. :D |
