Good player. You don't play up front for Argentina without having a bit of talent and ability. He looked to be forming a neat partnership with Forlan at Villareal a little while back but for some reason it went sour. Never worked out for him with us though, I reckon Bruce didn't think he had the physique and/or the temperament to play in England.

Hopefully he'll get himself fit for next season, been injured for over a year now.

i remember all the hype, the website reports on him in the reserves scoring the odd goal, and he was finally on the bench for the first team at home vs Portsmouth, and he come on in injury time for 2 minutes

I remember watching him in the reserves a couple of times - talk about lightweight - he makes Rowan Vine look like Mr Universe!

I can't believe how some people can start a topic about a person and spell his name wrong.

Anyway, that's beside the point. Luciano Figueroa was a good player.

As was Walter Pandiani

Walter has scored 2 against Real Madrid tonight already..
If Bruce had any sence he would have played Pandini instead of the big Donkey Heskey, who brought us nothing but Relegation....
Can you imagine the two mentioned playing together in the prem and settled down?
Argintine international and a Uraguian international. :silence:

I was thinking about figs just this week. Wasnt he owned by a 3rd party just like Tevez, seem to remember something about a consortium owning him. Maybe thats why he never was given a chance because the board knew the s%!t would hit the fan. After all the stuff about him being too weak or not good enough for the premiership never washed with me, international caps with argentina, la liga with Villarreal and he couldn't get a game with blues.
