Steve Sidwell has gone from reading now but the reading manager didnt say what club to.

"Reading boss Steve Coppell has revealed that Steve Sidwell has left the club - but he would not reveal the midfielder's destination.

Sidwell, who was not in The Royals' 16 to face Blackburn on Sunday, is widely reported to be undergoing a medical at Chelsea on Monday.

Sidwell is available on a free transfer after choosing to see out his current contract with The Royals.

Coppell could not confirm whether the former Arsenal man is indeed Stamford Bridge-bound, but is expecting an announcement imminently.

Coppell said: "He's gone. I know exactly where he's gone but I am not allowed to say."

Maybe to blues, just taking a wild guess :banner: **thumbup

chelski in the morning.

Where he will sit and fester on the bench - what on earth do they need him for ? To stop other clubs getting him I imagine. This is a sad league we are joining, but the football played is the best in Europe - what an irony. And if you can't beat em join em I say, but will we be able to live with the spending power of those clubs in foreign ownership ?

hes having a medical at Chelsea tomorrow apparently.

He's going to be another Shaun Wright-Phillips, tipped for a good future, then joins Chelsea and his career stalls and he wont be as good as he apparently is now (even though I think hes totally overrated)

Well, he has two options from now. The Scott Parker route of eventually leaving and finding first team football elsewhere, or the Wayne Bridge route of being happy with very little meaningful football for the foreseeable future.

Waste of a decent player really.

All I can say is that here is another player thinkin he is bigger than a club and the chance they have given him

Of course all players are entiltled to further their careers in any way they want

But he has gone to chelsea for 1 reason, $£$£$£$£$

yes he will no doubt pick up some silverware, but will he be picked before Makelele, Robben, Lampard, Ballack, Cole, Essien , Wrigth-Phillips, Mikel........

I think though his bank manager will love it, I think his career will stall for a good year or two, just like wright - phillips and coles did

We all know that football is this way now so I guess good luck to him

BUt just to clarify my point, its defo not blues he is coming to!!
