I remember this game so well. Was well up for it thinking it was our year then Blues do what Blues do best kick you in the teeth. I remember Bruce Dyer battering us. And at the end of the game there were 2 people fighting in the middle of the pitch over a players shirt

i was :crying:

This is a game I do my best not to remember.Should have cost TF his job.He lost the plot when we went a goal down and changed the team formation.Barnsley fans singing 'it's just like watching Brazil'at the end.Awful day.A whole season down the drain in 90 minutes.I remember TF saying some time after when asked to comment on the tie something to the effect 'people forget that we actually won the second leg of the tie'As if we we were ever going to come back fron 4 goals down. What a *****.

Let your heart beat strong and all that. (and please don't mention Fulham!) :boohoo:

was that when that guy was dragging that girl across the pitch whilst she was clinging on for dear life to a players shirt, whilst leaving her shoes behind? the only funny thing that happened that day! :silence:

Oh dear. Having committed to taking the family away I was watching it live on TV in Almeria, Spain. What a bummer. Having assorted ManUre 'fans' and other less fortunate souls taking the pi** was the topper especially as the one taking the pi** most was a Dingle. (I got me own back the next night by not taking the pi** out of his drink but adding to it.)

A most depressing day.

Yeh was a really bad day, because they actually were no better than us...TF in all his wisdom went all out for a win when a 1-0 away from home is not that bad, all we had to do was win 2-0 at there hole then!
Nevermind, that team had some good players aswell, Gary Rowett was a legend that season...
He used to always put the ball hangin outside the triangle for a corner, get the away fans troublesome and then we'd end up scoring!!!
Im sure he swung 1 in straight from a corner at home tht season vs sum1 like norwich, unless sum1 gt a flick on it as i sat at the kop corner end, and it was at the railway end...
