i can see us getting at most a point, i believe that even with their injuries and that, they still have their reserve team of international supremo's!

Oh well, lets look forwqard to the match, and then Sunderland is fully concentrated upon once this is over.

Sunderland will be crucial for us . . . . I anticipate spurs shafting them today.

So we'll probably both meet on 0 points!

Could be the first 6 pointer of the season!

My head says chelsea will win... But we gota go there with hope.... And with our new look side and a pacey attack... All we gota do is convert one or two chances and defend. Grab a draw and jobs a good un. It will be like a win for us, to come out the bridge on sunday with our first point..

Start as you mean to go on boys.... KEEP THE FAITH!!

Totally agree. Every game against one of the 'lesser' teams is a must win, although I am going for a draw between S'land and Spurs.

I know you should never bet on your own team, but William Hill are offering 11-1 to beat Chelsea tomorrow, given the amount of injury's they have, I couldn't resist a cheeky fiver on it

Hopefully it should be a good game.....

against chelsea you need a striker who can get support from another striker if you want any chance of scoring at least 1 goal. jerome should partner him, your defence is alright with djourou instead of jaidi. your midfield...i would have de ridder, kapo, nafti and mcsheffrey. upfront forssell for his good form lately and jerome for his pace. it will trouble chelsea.

CHELSEA V BLUES PREVIEW

According to the pundits Blues go into Sunday's game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as massive underdogs.

This is not wholly surprising bearing in mind that if the Chelsea Pensioners avoid defeat against Blues they will beat Liverpool's record of 63 games unbeaten home games set between 1978 and 1981.

But despite the high odds of causing an upset Steve Bruce is relishing the challenge being posed by Jose Mourinho's side.

"This time last year we were playing Colchester and on Sunday it's Chelsea away which couldn't be more daunting," said Bruce.

"But that's what the Premier League is all about.

"For me it's the strongest, the best and the most demanding league of the lot but we're in there.

"We've got to try and relish the challenge.

"Mr Mourinho hasn't been beaten at home for five years - three years at Chelsea and two years at Porto.

"It's a fantastic achievement to get that far.

"We all know they're going to be there or thereabouts but football being football there's always a shock somewhere on the opening day of the season somewhere let's hope it can be us.

"We're right up against it but if we go and have a go and we're not frightened of it I'm sure we'll do okay.

"We've got play really well on the day and catch them maybe not quite as good as they should be, that's what we've got to hope for."

A host of new players are set to make their Blues debuts.

Bruce has already confirmed that defender Johan Djourou will make his first start 48 hours after signing from loan on Arsenal.

There are also likely to be debuts for Daniel de Ridder, Olivier Kapo, Stuart Parnaby and Franck Queudrue amongst others.

But the Blues boss will be without four players.

Damien Johnson is out with a hamstring problem, Rafael Schmitz (Achilles), Martin Taylor (torn stomach muscle) and Mat Sadler who has only just recovered from a hamstring problem.

Meanwhile Chelsea are without inspirational captain John Terry (knee), Michael Ballack (ankle) and Wayne Bridge (hip).

But Didier Drogba, who missed the Community Shield, may figure.
