On todays performance I am afraid Colin Doyle and Nafti are just not good enough for the Premiership. The amount of times Nafti gave the ball away of his passes went to opposition were too many to count. as for doyle, Maik Taylor would have saved two of the goals.... Rest of performance was ok... :crying: |

Don't agree with not good enough for prem but both were poor in cetain ways today but if they play more, they will improve. Can't complain too much at doyle with all the chances chelski had and they normall y run over most midfields these days. |

i really think doyle should have saved pizarro's but essien's was one that might have been saved. he was capable of saving it but i wouldn't blame him much for that one. as for nafti, i think he played really good today with some ball winning vital tackles. yes he lost possesion alot, and he can improve on that. but his tackles were superb. |

I dont think Nafti is good enough. I thought that, for him, he played well today but his best isnt good enough. Doyle is inexperienced and making his bow in the Premier League so should be given many more chances. To say that he isnt good enough for the prem based on one game is ludicrous. Judgements like that simply shouldnt be made on one solitary game. |

Doyle had a bad game, but he'll show he's a teriffic player this season. As for Nafti, the guy can't pass. It's really embarrassing and frustrating when he keeps giving the ball away. Take the £6m we've saved from rejecting Mido and sign a quality central midfielder to play alongside Muamba. |

Doyle will know he should have done better....today is not the end of the world...but for some they will know the standard that is required....Larsson knew he had to up his game & did so ..... |

Nafti was awful, you might be able to get away with that sort of sloppy football in the Championship but not in this league, but then again he hardly played last season so what does that tell you. Other than that i thought we played well but Wednesdays the test in my opinion and we need to win it. |

The only bad element to Nafti's game today was his forward passing (which was very poor) apart from that he was actually very good, particularly when you consider the players he was up against. Doyle should have done better on the 1st and 3rd goals but he was immense last season and to write him off after 1 game is just silly. |

I don't agree that Doyley is not good enough for the premiership based on his FIRST premier league game. Yes he made mistakes and hopefully he will learn from them |

from Doyles point of view, you might as well have your bad game for the season away at Chelsea,it wont happen too often. Without him we would have faced Burnley or someone yesterday,,,,,,,,, |

If anything, the second one was easier to save than the first one. He saw it all the way and it was from a lot further out, you plum. |

i am really dissapointed in doyle i thought he was shocking, but he is only a kid and deserves to learn from his mistakes... i say give him a chance as for nafti.. what did he do today that he doesnt already do ? he tackles great , but when he gets it , he goes backwards or gives it away him and johnno are the same .. nafti ran his wotsits off today , he gave it all ... he just cant pass :crying: :Blues: |

That is 1 game this season in the premier league for a 22 year old lad and already he's been written off as not good enough for the premier league! Just listen to yourselves. Blimey i thought i was pessimistic but some people on this thread and this board really do beat me hands down. Nafti, I'll give him grace on the basis that it's the first game of the season. I think Nafti is the sort of player that improves with confidence and a run in the team. When he came into the side in 05/06 it took a run of games until he started to look like a player worth having. |

for anyone to say that Doyles not good enough for the Premiership AFTER ONE GAME THERE!! is laughable. He deserves his chance, and is a loyal player for us, he will be more annoyed than anyone at himself following today. Give the lad a chance |

Mark my words, Colin Doyle will win us more then he will cost us this season. 22 Years old today, he has had a terrible Birthday, & he will be the first to admit it. But he has got the makings of a class keeper. |
