Nice to see lots of sensible replies, especially considering the circumstances.

It is commendable that some supporters are still willing to defend Bruce, but I do feel that we are now at the point when TF got the boot.

The board have been more than loyal to our past three managers, Fry, Francis and Bruce. Some might say, over-generous in their commitment to them.

It dawns on me that those who defend SB, seem to offer the excuse, "Is there anyone better out there?"....Well, you wont know unless you give it a go.

I stated earlier that this wasn't a Bruce out thread, and I stand by that, but it does beg the question, especially when you constantly hear SB saying "We're going to give it a good go!".

Well, no, we haven't and we aren't.

The only points we've picked up so far are against those who were in our league last season. We've been completely outplayed by those clubs who were PL last season, and even Hereford gave us a fright in that second half last week.

I have also stated in another thread somewhere though, that this is still a new team, and will take time to settle down. Our home form is going to be critical I feel, but it doesn't help when he consistently plays footballers in their non prefered positions. It appears that he has learned none of the lessons from 2 seasons ago.

Give it 10-12 games and see where we are. If we are still discussing these same failings, then I certainly will be aboard that Bruce out bus. (I expect we will, we have been discussing them for 3-4 seasons).

Lets have a look at the goals yesterday.

Goal 1 Liam Ridgwell is asleep with poor marking in letting Wheater get the header in.

Goal 2 Fabrice Muamba fails to track Downing....if you watch it its unbelievable..he's let him run on the blind side and then when the balls in mid-air he's STILL standing there watching as Boateng wins the header even though he can clearly see Downing!!

He failed to track Malouda for Chelsea's 3rd i think it was also. Maybe he needs to be left out as you get punished in this league.

Until we change the transfer policy of buying players who are not good enough for the team that we get them from, and ditch a manager who is clearly bereft of ideas in tactics and man management, we will continue to flounder. Did anyone note the difference in commitment and sharpness between us and the rest of the teams yesterday. I thought it stood out a mile, and was embarrassing

If you have and entire back four of Prem squad players you are going to be in trouble.

FWIW I think Ridgewell is good enough although still a level behind Upson and he jury must be out on Quedrue at the moment. If Djourou is as good as we believe we only need to sort out right back, but will Bruce play him at centre back.

I think DJ would make a better right back than Kelly but I think I have a feeling that the solution could be Larsson. Anyone remember Bert Murray's converiosn there?

i was speaking generally, whereby in public, some say the fans are the problem,or some say that the board are the problem.

i was saying that publically Brucie in my opinion gets a very easy ride.

Maybe the supporters at large are more understanding than some of them on here. maybe they are more interested in being supportive towards the team.

maybe they are not so concerened who the manager is, who the board members are, or how much money they have.

How can you support the club and not be concerned about the manager? Or the underinvestment by the Board?

It is not being disloyal to want the club to do better. It is not disloyal to want to see the elements that are holding the club back removed. Just the opposite, in fact.

The most passionate supporters of this club are the ones who are prepared to say 'enough is enough' when they witness the sort of utter tripe that was on display at Boro today - and not for the first time this season.

Bruce is out of his depth. The Board are disinterested. The sooner both elements go, the better.

Specifcally what are you doing to get your concerns addressed?

What do you suggest people do then Willie? im sick of pish poor football and paying a lot of money for it!! its right what is being said Bruce is untouchable, this board won't sack him as they don't want to part with their money, they proved that when we got relegated last time.

Imo Brucie has to go, the football is disgraceful, there is no commitment in the side, there is no tactical awareness, players are played out of position, how can Vine score over 12 goals in a struggling side then come to us & score ONE goal. "no" :redcard:

Becouse he wasn't played in his best position, as a forward for the majority of his Blues appearances last season.

Which is exactly what many Blues fans are saying about SB and his tactical awareness, and player appreciation.

12 goals for Luton who were a very poor side, comes to us, alledgedly a superior team and we stick him out on the left.
