We haven't had a sniff of a point since 57 BC at the Boro. A point today would have been miraculous. So I'm not exactly disheartened, although there sounded like a lack of fight today which is worrying. It puts the pressure on for the next game, home to Bolton is a massive game now. I'm not joining all the wrist-slitters just yet though. We lost away from home, against a decent team. Worse things happen. KRO **thumbup :drink: |

Nope. But I was expecting a performance. I was expecting us to compete. Fair enough the commentary would have been Boro bias, but from what i heard we did none of that today. And I think Bruces triple substitution tells a similar story. |

I would have been happy with a draw. To win away in the Prem is good. I think we have the players, but they need to be willing to give it a go. And playing them in their right positions would help **thumbup |

Thought they were all young and hungry. Bruce should stop giving them three weetabix for breakfast. I see what he is trying to do but its obviously counteracting the hunger. He should change to Mars Bars instead to help them work, rest and play. |

Thought we would have got the draw, but we just didn't turn up We didn't seem to get out of our own half, we are only 4 games in, but as it's been mentioned by someone else the only teams we have taken any points off is teams we came up with. SB said when we got promoted he intends to stay in the league, but i'm sorry to say this but we don't look anywhere good enough, we are scoring but we are also conceeding, 4 games no clean sheets and the bad thing is I can't see where our next points are going to come from Our next 3 games are Bolton, followed by Liverpool and Man utd, so our next 3 league games nil points Kapo NEEDS to be played in the middle |

Says it all for me. We might not win every game. But even if we lose, we should compete. Even if we are technically poor, we should be energetic. |

i wasn't expecting us to win - we have a young inexperienced team that is yet to gel and were playing an established side used to finishing in the top ten and getting into europe. lets get real eh, there'll be plenty more days like this, and it's times like this our support should be it's strongest not a time for pushing alternative agendas... |

When was the last time we beat Boro on their own patch? 1980? No surprise to me we lost - but its the manner of the non-performance. If we're gonna get beat, get beat with your boots on. |

Sorry but why should we not expect to win there or have the players been told to lay down and lose now.You should play to win every game and if the manager and team do not want to do that then get rid of them. The standards of blues and some of their fans are too low and that is why we will never win anything. |

I've never understood this concept. Each time we've played there, there have been different players representing the club, different managers, different tactics, different styles....... Just becouse a we have a poor record at some team, doesn't mean we cant get something there the next time. Whats the point of even turning up otherwise? Steve Bruce: "Hi Garteh? Just want to let you know, we're not coming Saturday." Gareth Southgate: "Hi Steve, whys that then mate?" Steve Bruce: "Well, Blues haven't won there since the 50's so the odds of my team getting a result would be MIRACULOUS!" Not having a go at you mate, but it's just something I've never understood........every game is winnable....even Manchester United and Chelsea. |

today is fine day! I don't know what to say for that. To be honest, I don't like Bruce. Don't ask me why. I think we should have another to take his place. On thte other hand, our players didn't try thire best to performan. It is very bad. Do you know why? Maybe a good manager is very important for blues! **thumbup Keep on supportting!!!!! :boohoo: |

YOU SHOULD BE EXPECTING TO WIN EVERYTIME YOUR TEAM GOES ON THE PITCH, it wont happen of course as we are not as good as some teams, but we should compete for every ball every second ball, put the other team under team under pressure, work their keeper, you dont just roll over for the opposition, 100% effort should be the norm every game,if the other team have more quality and skill then you can hold your hands up say the best team won ,no excuses needed. |

I note that the triple substitution happened half way through the second half. Brum were 2 down at half time. Why wasn't there at least one substitute made at half time? Was Bruce so concerned at going further down that he thought he would keep his ultra defensive line up on for another twenty minutes or so. Lambasting his team after the game doesn't help. He needs to start taking a bit of responsibility himself. This is not that bad a team. Somehow or other they are becoming one. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions. |

i never buy the theory about not having won somewhere for donkeys years. it makes no difference, its in the past and its about what happens on the day. dident think theyd win though. boro have been playing well even when not getting results. bolton games massive now, some tough fixtures after. |

I applaud your sentiments. but having standards is very laudable but if your apponent has the where-with-all to buy better players there's not much you can do!! |

"Not much you can do"? You can go out and give it a proper go cant you? We did just that away to Chelsea, and had it not been for a couple of gifts from Doyle we would have had them beat. But away to the mighty boro thats a whole other story. How can we be asked to compete against what is an absolute mid table side? Defeat was Blues only option. < < So yes I thought we could beat boro away, though it hadnt been done for 26 years or so, and at the very least come away with a draw. To be honest i go into every match believing Blues can win. All that I expect from Blues is that they believe they can beat any other side--or at least compete--and not to simply capitulate. |
