Now Is Not The Time To Panic.

It's just not

We've played 5 games, we're on the same points as..

Spurs
Reading
Viler
Sunderland
Fulham

A point behind Utd.

This time last year Sunderland had just lost 4 in a row, only to go on and win the league.

I refuse to be drawn into Bruce out arguments, I refuse to worry. I'll start to get abit nervous if we're in the bottom 4 by the end of next month, then and only then will I worry.

Still not convinced? atleast we're not Derby, 1 point and -12 from 5 games.

I wouldn't be laughing at that with us playing Liverpool and Man Utd in the next 3 games.

SSSSSSSSH

I wouldn't be suprised if we lose to Bolton and get 4 or even 6 points off Them 2. Sort of thing we do.

So, we're better than Derby. Is that something to take comfort in?

It's not the results. It's the performances. Poor against West Ham. Poor second half against Hereford. Dire today against Boro. Tactically poor. Physically weak. Clueless.

I take Carrot's point...it is still early days.

Keep believing. We need to stick together - these are the players we have to take us up to January.

Another thing..

No matter how much people boo, no matter how much people protest, Bruce will be here come January. We cannot make anymore signings. We have to live with what we've got until then, whether you like it or not.

I said in an earlier posting that with the team SB has assembled we would be relegated before Christmas, that was before a ball had been kicked, I have seen nothing thus far to change my mind at all.

:D

Even if we beat Bolton that would put us on 7 points after 6 played

Taking into account we haven't played any of the Top Six yet we will be fortunate to finish the season on 40 points

Relegation form !!!! Same Old Song,Im afraid

Whether you are positive or not, this is going to be a relegation battle, panic if you must but it won't help. Lets all just get behind the boys in blue. In the next three games though I can't see us picking up more than 3 points. We'll win against Bolton (hopefully) but lose against Livepool and Utd.

However, it is a forgone conclusion that Spurs, Man Utd, viler and Reading will pick up alot more points than us this season, lets not deny it, because we know that this will happen, maybe Reading won't but i think they might.

Fulham also could after battling back agaonst Tottenham to draw 3-3. yet we can't even put in a half decent performance against Middelsborough, im sorry but for me, we must panic early as we dont want to say after 20 games and 10 points its time to panic, as it will be too late.

If we panic early, we will sort it out quicker surely?

Bruce Out after 15 games if we havent got 17 points. Sorry guys, but you won't change my opinion on that.... It makes sense.

If someone tells you not to panic, you can be sure there is something to panic about.

What has this to do with my post?

I didn't once mention Bruce, I was saying don't panic about our position.

Is it Bruce's fault that Sullivan has obliged the poor man to go skulking round car boot sales for new talent? Let's at least wait until we've the likes of de Ridder, Shmidt, Oubina etc. before we send him to the dole office.

i dont think we need to panic yet a lot of players are still findin there feet in the team we need to get behind them and support them. we've got some good player injured at the minute and they'll help us when they get fit

Is that a copy of a post from two seasons ago?

In all seriousness you can't keep using the same excuses and hoping the same hopes. We have been saying exactly the same things for so long. If our failings and shortcomings have not been learned and addressed by now they aren’t going to be, however long we give them.

Carrot,

The writing was on the wall in 2005/2006 after three games when Middlesbrough crushed us 3-0 at St Andrews in what was labelled "the worst performance for years" and the writing is on the wall this time.

The potential is there, but again the lack of know-how on the part of the manager and the nonchalent attitude of the board will ultimately cost us.
