Ferguson took over an ailing Man U in November 1986 and won the FA Cup in May 1990, 3 and a half years after taking over. He had bulit steadily but had his darkest hour when there was talk of the sack at the latter part of 1989, three years into his reign, after a very bad run. In the next three and a half years you say he was baffled United won at least one trophy per season including, The Cup Winners Cup, League Cup, The Premiership and was well on the way to the double. Maybe from what you say Bruce isn't confused enough judging by how well Fergie did in his 'confused period' |
