Hi Blues fans, As a tunisian football fan, I wonder why the international Radhi Jaidi lost his place in the central defence of the Blues. Is it due to a tacticle decision from the manager or to an injury? Is he still as good as he used to be last year? What are his strengthes and weaknesses? Please do not hesitate to share all relevent information about the topic and develop your own assessment and anlysis about the situation Jaidi is living with the Blues this season. Best Regards. |

I think just because he isn't quick enough and is prone to the odd error. Last year he was a menace from set pieces, and wasn't really shown up by much pace. This year, every 2nd striker has bags of pace and he isn't quick enough. |

its just pace. djorou has that pace which jaidi has unfortunatley not got anymore. both are liable to the odd error though! |

Jaidi is quicker than Ridgewell so its not totally down to pace why he has lost his place. |

jaidi is not quick, and can be error prone. That is the main reason he has been dropped in my opinion. Also, Djourou is a real talent, and so he has been keeping Jaidi out of the team. Apart from that, Rafael Schmitz is a better defender than Jaidi at the moment in my opinion, and so it is Djourou, Ridgewell and Schmitz fighting for a starting place BEFORE Jaidi |

Thank you guys for your replies. It looks like Radhi won't see the pitch again with the first team. What about the reserve team? Is he participating to the games? |

Jaidi is too unpredictable, he can have a solid game one week, but look totally lost the next week. He can head the ball well though. Scored some good goals for us **thumbup |

He does resort to WWF tactics at the worst possible moments (edge of or inside penalty area) from time to time as well, possibly due to a lack of pace or acceleration off the mark |

Didn t Jaidi helped u to get to the premiership again and he was the heart of the defence last year. And now a simple kid like Djouou who has even play with Arsenal first team get his place. Give him the chance at least and then u can talk. he only played one premiership game |

Maybe you should watch Djourou play before calling him a 'simple kid' and Jaidi the 'heart of the defence'. :copno: |
