Moratorium
noun [c]
a stopping of an activity for an agreed amount of time:

How about us all agreeing. Both camps and all those on the fence.

No more NEW threads about Steve Bruce until after the vile game.
November 12th - that can't be hard.

And that means no threads attacking anti or pro or agnostic Bruce posters.

A few days? Can we all do it.

Please

Penguin - its an exercise in self control and tolerance.
A chance to see if we can cohabit if you like.

Is it so critical, and so crucial to you, or anyone else, to have to slate or praise the manager - EVERY DAY ?

Lets all of us try and ignore his faults or blessings just for a few days and see what happens?

After Remembrance Day - if you can't live without expressing your criticism or support, then resume fire.
But until then......please

There seems to be a contradiction here.

November the 11th is where we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our liberty and right to free speech. You are using that important time to stifle debate and free speech.

To be honest, I'm actually quite offended.

bluejan, you put it so nicely - how can anyone refuse your request....?

i don't mind; i guess, i just wonder whether it will be seen as an exercise in self control and tolerance, as you suggest, or a form of censorship!

as for what will happen, just pent up anger and/or frustration i would imagine! sometimes i think the silly ramblings make this site more colourful, even if there is too much exposure to Steve Bruce! the only other posts left will be requesting we think of songs that wont be sung for players who might not play or asking we choose formations that no-one gives a flying f*** about, if we're honest.

mind you, i haven't seen anything suggesting we change what the players walk out to for a while....

ok, where do i sign - although, be warned, the world might just be a jollier place with argument and repetition on this board. :Blues:

As per a previous post of mine, this game is the biggest game of the season for a lot of blues fans so let them have the exciting, tense and expectant build-up the game deserves.

Bullets and helmets at 3.00pm Sunday afternoon.

It's probably my comments and your own mind that have linked the two.

lowdham, two things;

1) no-one is stopping or stifling any of the build up for supporters. we are all expectant about Sunday and if you think this messageboard matter one jot to supporters come Sunday then you're deeply mis-guided.

2) i think a lot of Blues fans do not necessarily see this game as the biggest of the season. we are playing our biggest rivals but that's it. i can assure you if we entertain Blackburn in May needed a point to stave off relegation then this game with the Vile will pale into insignificance!

welcome to the Premier League, in the words of the man who's name cannot be uttered - they're all big games, that's for sure **thumbup

All that I asked for is:

No NEW Threads.

There are plenty of existing ones, for against and indifferent, which can be used, so no one is asking for censorship, except of the self inflicted kind hooby.

No New Threads for a few days - is that impossible?

Come on Guys

You must have read my letter to the Telegraph TJ

Perhaps Bluejan didn't mean it that way, but even if not, what on earth will it achieve?

We're playing another league team Sunday, not Manchester United in the FA Cup final, moaning or not moaning about Steve Bruce will make won't make a jot of difference. Similarly, getting behind the manager or not getting behind the manager won't make a scrap of difference.

No, the more I look at it the more I see a form of censorship
