Yeah but Clinton's best form was when partnering Heskey.

Couldn't be much worse, could it?

I always thought Clinton was alright for us. And at the time it was a great deal... who knew how it would turn out? no one, that's who.

I hardly think parting with AJ and 3.5 million quid constituted a great deal, even if Morrison had scored 20 for us.

And his best form was with Heskey? Culminating in 4 league goals....the man is a headless chicken-type offside machine.

Still, it's all about opinions, carrot.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - football is littered with players who have been sold by one club then gone on to be really good players. Personally I didn't want to see AJ go, and the only good thing you can say about Morrison is that he always gave his best - trouble was it almost always wasn't good enough

but were you saying that at the time?

Actually Proccy, I was.

I always thought Morrison was overrated, and held a very high opinion of himself (remember the + sign he put between the numbers on the back of his shirt).

Unfortunately Bruce shared that opinion

Sod it I'll join in. These are in no particular order.

The good stuff!
1. Going three seasons - 6 games - unbeaten against the scum of the earth.
2.This seasons transfer policy. On the pityful budget he was given, compared to many other Prem clubs, he has done amazingly well. Muamba, Kapo, De-Ridder, Ridgewell etc.
3.Le God. The best and most technicaly gifted footballer I have ever seen in a Blues shirt. (I'm 41) Sorry TF, but Christophe had the personality to match his ability.
4.Staying loyal to the board. Bolton and Newcastle are 2 clubs that have waved the cheque book in Brucies direction. But he stays, he has a job to finish. I admire his persistence in working at a somewhat disfunctional club.
5. Robbie Savage. Despite how it all ended I think Robbie Savage was just what the Bluenoses needed at that time. A genuine fans hero. We've never replaced him.

The Moody stuff!
1. The weakness shown during the Matt Upson saga. They sold him from under you Steve!
2. His sometimes misguided loyalty to certain players. I need say no more.
3. The relegation season. Now I know most people will put this but rightly so because i think Bruce had a major part to play in us getting relegated and I'm not just talking the football stuff. He wasn't strong enough in dealing with the owners on the transfers. It was a PR stunt to get big names at the club that went devastatingly wrong. He should have signed who HE wanted to sign.
4. The Man utd wave. Oh dear.... Loyalty is everything to us Bluenoses.
5. Gary McSheffery. What has happened to this very talented individual only those in the know will know. But the one time england prospect is Brucies responsibility and a top manager would turn Macca back round and get him firing again. If Sir Fergie has an old-boys advice hotline, I suggest Steve rings it and gets some guidance.

These opinions are given of my own free will and two bottles of red wine.

I thank you! :D
