Apparently this is the rumour doing the rounds. Now De Ridder, Kapo and Larsson occupy the wide positions, Iain Dowie is considering bringing back McSheffery on loan to revive their flagging promotion push.

Would it be a good or bad move? I'd say bad for the simple reason we need players competing for places. However, on the other hand a loan move could boost his confidence.

is this a genuine rumour or simply pub talk?

i don't think McSheffrey's settled in to Premiership football well and, in the eyes of many, hasn't performed well since January, but i'm not sure this would be a great move at this stage. we need a squad that's strong and gives us options and GM has to be one of those options - both wide and in attack.

if we bring in another wide midfielder come January then fair enough but i'd hope we claw back some of the money spent on him; we've had a habit recently of letting players go for far less than we bought them for - and i expect us to do the same with Vine!

I bloody hope not. McSheffrey is the first name I've had on the back of my shirt since my David Seaman one from Euro96!

Not possible, Coventry have been blocked from any transfer dealings, due to the fact they fail to keep up the payments on the leon Best signing.

Yes, they have no money and loan deals have a small fee paid to the loaning club.

can the fee not be waived by the loaning club....?

especially if it's to help a player recapture confidence, form, fitness or 1st team expereince....?

Why are people going on about Mifsud ?? He scores 2 against Man Utd reserves and suddenly it is one we should be looking at.

Forget him - he is not Premiership quality, and I would get in the Malta side.

no Billy, you're right and i don't think they would at all. but in general can the loan fee be waived, i mean the lower leagues thrive on loanees and many of them would not afford a fee on top of wages!

Got to say would like to see McShefrey play on Sunday on the left.

He's a Midlands lad a Cov fan who also hate the vile, if he can't raise his game for that match, then he may well as be loaned out.

Shame thought he would be a star this season, shows what I know, still early days!!

Macca looks out of his depth at this level but maybe given time he'll come good.

A loan spell back in the championship will do him no good what so ever as he'll be again playing against poor players so if he does play well will prove nothing.

We all know this won't happen unless we bring in a new left winger.

He just needs to sort it out and get going.

We need his goals.

Can't see it happening. But he does seem to need some confidence or a SB boot up his backside at times.

Or is it the fact he has no pace.
