On a positive note,

I want to say Mikael was excellent. Mobile, playing off good passes, quick to get in the box and taking up good positions.

Schmitz was solid. Broke up attacks left, right and centre.

de Ridder brilliant crossing and skill again, very composed.

All 3 next starters for next game I'm sure.

Well done boys, your efforts haven't gone unnoticed. :applause: :Blues:

I agree, although I'd have preferred to see Larrson on the wing from the start as his set pieces are sheer class - plus, he mucks in with defensive duties.

Hope Nafti's ok - he looked in a lot of pain.

huh?
Schmitz was poor.
He made numerous passing mistakes in the first half and so many of our attacks broke down. The view from where i was sitting was that he had a relatively poor game..

But Forssell was great again today..shame Jerome had to go off, those two looked dangerous together

After a dodgy start I thought Schmitz had a very good game, he tackled well, was strong and looked to distribute the ball with care.

Schmidtz was excellent in my view. Won takles after it looked like he been out-thought and some great balls forward.

Schmitz was awful first half.

Can't agree with that made some timely tackles. Distribution wasn't great but defending against someone obviously quicker than him thought he did really well

I must have been at a different game, im sorry apart from the cross for Forsell's goal i thought DeRidder was awful.

He looked light weight, Bouma ( who is poo) had an easy game today, the argument over a pen or not on DeRidder should have not been an issue if he had shot when it came to him on his right foot, instead of switching to his left.

Overall i thought as did many sitting near me that DeRidder was poor today apart from one great cross for the goal, he also left Kelly very exposed a whilst defending Young by his lack of tracking back, same with Kapo on the left leaving Schmitz exposed again by not defending.

Only my opinion but hey its strange how people can see things so differently

Schmitz didn't impress me today I have to say, although left back is not his preferred position. He did give the ball away an awful lot but improved as the game went on.

De Ridder doesn't get given the ball often enough if you ask me. Villa were giving Young the ball as they knew his pace would hurt us. However, instead of playing to De Ridder and Kapo's strengths we resorted to long balls towards Jerome and later Forssell and O'Connor.

I thought Schmitz had a fantastic game considering it's not his natural position. I also thought Kelly had a great game considering he was against Young. Young was class and Kelly kept him at bay for the majority of the game- well done King Kelly!

I was looking forward to seeing the Fors and O'Connor partnership but I think we were more of a threat with Fors and Jerome really. I really think Jerome will learn alot from Fors. It was good to have him back.
