A fairly tight game today, settled by one decisive factor - the managers.

O'Neill got it right, his team were content to sit back and break with pace using Abonlahur.

Bruce got it woefuly wrong. Carson was more likely to die of hypothermia than Blues test him in the first half and it was too much to ask in the second to get back in to the game. In my mind to not even attempt to test Mellberg at right back was nothing short of criminal.

This isn't a 'Bruce out' thread before the usual suspects start, but Bruce fell short today and was beaten by a much more intelligent and tactically aware manager.

Once again Bruce points to the referee as an excuse, but the simple fact is that he got it wrong, and that was far more decisive than the referee's decisions.

Absolutely. When we start scoring a few from open play it won' matter abut the decisions the ref makes.
