Yes we've lost to Vile
Yes we werent particularly impressive today
Yes maybe we should've started 4-4-2.

But for god's sake we didnt...get over it.

Any other day (and referee) we would of won today more than likely.

We could've easily had the pen for the Knight handball, and I really cannot see how he has booked De Ridder for diving when its a stonewall penalty... Bennett should have had a pink and blue shirt on the amount he failed to give us today...its hard enough playing 11 men, yet alone 12!

So if we had the 2 penaltys and scored them, that would've made it a complete different game, and it just shows how luck plays a huge part in football...I personally felt we done alright in the second half, but that shouldn't over-shadow the shambolic 35 minutes after Ridgewell scored the own goal. That needs to be addressed but the second half showing merited at least a point, probably 3 because we created a few chances, and Ridgewell could've scored but it was cleared off the line.

I really don't see the point in slating the team, manager and even board.

Where were these people saying "this board havent invested" when we beat Wigan last time out at home?" nothings changed since, except a couple of dodgy officiating decisions which I expected from Bennett.

The FA should demote him or give him the week off that they give to Clattenberg recently after his diabolical performance in the Merseyside derby....I bet they dont.

Its a bit early to write us off aswell, give the lads a chance, we've played some good stuff this season.

Rant Over.

Well said mate.

I was proud of the way we played - no way did we deserve to lose today. I still stand by my opinion before the game in i'd have started with Jerome & Forss - we gave away another soft goal but the way we came back 2nd half they did us proud. An absolute kick in the teeth at the death and even O'Neill said afterwards they had the 1st half...we had the 2nd half and overall it was even he said.

Ah, not seen since the 'lets not be negative and get behind Bruce', 'believe and Bruce will get us out of this pickle' threads of 2005 - where did they get us?

Yes I spent 2006 getting over the last time we were relegated, I'd rather not be doing the same in 08/09. If the manager picks the wrong team/formation then it should be discussed. You may wish to bury your head in the sand, but some of us would like to see the club progress rather than repeat the old mistakes over and over...

That's the whole point.........I fear with the tactics we are again employing we will only end up with the same results!!

We are a premieship team and when at home we should act like the home team and go at the opposition, not invite them to attack us by playing the same tactic that got us relegated in the first place....

.....not good enough then, and not good enough now to be honest

And yet we have nothing to show for it apart from wins against the 3 worst sides the Premiership has.

At least we're beating the worser sides than us.

I said at the start of the season, its beating the teams around us that'll be important...and to me were in a group of 7 .

Blues
Middlesbrough
Bolton
Fulham
Reading
Sunderland
Derby

I think realistically Derby are going to be relegated which leaves two places for the remaining 6.

May i add that...

Yes we've lost to Chelsea, West Ham, Middlesbrough, ManU, Blackburn, ManC, Everton, and now the Vile.
Yes, all three of our victories have come against the three sides that currently occupy the bottom three positions in the table.
And yes we've drawn at home to Sunderland, and had our result of the season when we took a point from Liverpool.

We've lost 5 of our last 6, and are currently 3-2-8. With our next three being against Pompey (H), Spurs(A), and Newcastle (A) the task of procuring much in the form of points will be a daunting one.

In my opinion the worst part (but also the bit that gives me hope) about Blues current state is that they have been in, and should have something to show from every match thus far. All save Middlesbrough and West Ham. But if all the promise doesnt start resulting into points WE WILL BE RELEGATED!!! And thats not doom and gloom, its just the honest truth of it.

Yes, Bennett was horrid today, but that fact doesnt change the result unfortunately.

Finally, I just find it odd that you expect people to get over a loss that has only just been suffered? Especially when the loss was at the hands of our most hated rival.

The thing is, i cant see us beating anyone else.

We didnt beat Sunderland, Middlesbrough and look unlikely to beat Reading IMO.

Sat 24 15:00 H Portsmouth
Sun 2 16:00 A Tottenham
Sat 8 15:00 A Newcastle
Sat 15 15:00 H Reading
Sat 22 15:00 A Bolton
Wed 26 15:00 H Middlesbrough
Sat 29 15:00 H Fulham

Do u no agree then that 13 points plus is a must out of this period???

That would leave us 24 points from 20 games, then we can breath a sigh of relief.

Thats before we take 0 points from the nest 3 games

Tue 1 15:00 A Man Utd
Sat 12 15:00 A Arsenal
Mon 21 20:00 H Chelsea

Yeah why don't we accept losing. There may be worse teams than us but when we roll over against teams it does'nt count for nothing :banghead:

I'm sick of Blues being brave losers, Bruce needs to develop a ruthless streak or go.

Yes the refs decisions were diabolical, I dont think we deserved to lose, I still dont want SB to go, but I wish he would change back to 4-4-2.
The one thing I blame is our defence, after going to Everton last week and watching us throw a result away in the dying minutes, I held my head in despair when we did the same thing today, why oh why cant we hold on in the last few minutes? we just drop back and invite them to steal the points.
We need to start learning from our mistakes as I thought we played ok, just let ourselves down at the end again.
