Played fantastic in the reserves against Arsenal was the best player on the pitch by a country mile, thought he would definatly get a shout in the side against Sunderland not even on the bench just like today, why is Mcleish not fielding the strongest side which i feel would include De ridder.

I think deRidder and Zarate would frighten the sh!te out of any team, they and Kapo are so tricky to play against. But no manager would be brave enough.

Clearly De Ridder is not Scottish, seems a bit of a closed shop we are getting, and with quality like Mcliesh and O'Connor the championship awaits.....

I was really angry when de ridder wasnt even in the 16 today, i know larsson played well but if mcleish isnt going to play de ridder at home against the worst team in the league then when the hell is he going to play him. People are saying that he just doesnt like that style of player but who has he just signed?? Zarate is a pacey trickey dribbler, exactly the same as de ridder

i dont think o'connor had a bad game today...he came deep to pick up the ball and sprayed a few nice balls out to the wing...i said it on another thread tho you cant start him and mcfadden up front niether are out and out goalscorers....OConnor and Jerome/Forssell would be better....Im thinking the whole balance of the team is wrong though to be honest, we havnt got an out and out winger or a creative midfielder...Larsson has no pace and cant beat the better defenders and Kapo will always cut in...dont get me started on DJ an muamba...hard to score without support to be honest!!i say lay off OConnor its not his fault McLiesh is playing the wrong players

Deridder primarily plays on the right wing...

Larsson primarily plays on the right wing...

would you drop larsson for deridder?

I wouldn't!

No, I would play Larsson in central midfield alongside DJ.

you'd get more natural width...larsson should be bought into the middle with nafti for the remainder of the season

And drop DJ?

That's why AM is a football manager and you are not!

DJ adds nothing to the team other than hard work...he will never ever ever score or setup goals....ok you can say he can play the defensive role but imo nafti has been more successful in that position this year

but is AM a good manager...so far ...no as the his points tally shows, especially when you take the 3 points won at SPURS IN HIS 1ST GAME away, it makes dismal reading

Spurs result was based on the Bruce/Black team and guys proving their worth in front of the new gaffer. Now AM has been here 3 months we could not repeat that..

O'Connor can't be singled out all the time thought he contributed well. Remember Jerome is still young and has played a lot of games this season and has perhaps earned a rest.
I would say though that today was crying out for a goalscorer so why Forsell didn' t get on I' m not sure.
Still think Mcleish doesn't rate his fitness.

he wasn't in the 16 man squad wouldn't have to drop Larson like already said Larson could be moved to cm or De Ridder could have been on the bench, He's a better player than Mcleish obviously thinks.

I slagged De Ridder quite some time ago because I felt he merited it for some very half hearted and gutless performances

Julian Gray Mark II ....I'll stand by what I said

Unless De Ridder can prove to me he is capable at this level and then I'll gladly eat humble pie (as I gladly offered to weeks ago)

To coin a phrase often used by yourself ......""I'll leave my faith in the manager's judgement""

I did also admit I was wrong to think DDR should be sold in January...I later rescinded that....it does strike me amusing that some people on here only read what they want to read merely to suit their own agendas

Tell me which player won the U21 Euro Championships in the Summer and is currently in the first XI of the squad. There isn't one. De Ridder is the most important man in the team along with Kapo, Forssell. Just shows the incompetency of McLeish picking his average boys from Scotland.

With the players we have I really dont think 442 suits us. I would play 4411

fors
zarte
Kapo lars muamba deridder

murp tay jaidi kelly

tay

Subs
Jerome better coming on second half
nafti defensive player to come on to close matches down like today if were winning.
ridgwell Cover for back
faddy attacking mid to push on second half if needed to or replace striker.
