Just looking at the fixtures (again) and honestly believe that we can go into every game thinking we could win. We should think that about all our home games, and our away games certainly don't look that bad.
Not saying we will win them all (obviously) but we probably need four wins to stay up. It looks very do-able to me.

Yeah if we had the Arsenhole manure scouservile Barcelona and real madrid squad to choose from nobody could ever accuse you of being a pessimist though

But which games would you say "Oh, we haven't got a hope in that one"? I can't see any. Even Liverpool at home - if we can draw with Arsenal and push Chelsea close, we can beat Liverpool (depending how they play on the day). Away at Fulham? Reading? COuld win. Even Villa, as local derbies are curious things. Home to Blackburn - could win that, or Everton (although I think that might turn out to be the toughest). Of course we won't win them all, but we could win half of them, and that would be enough.

imo 3 wins could keep us up & out of the fixtures i can see 4 wins and a couple of draws being realistic, we will stay up imo, bolton or sunderland to go down

I'm forever the optimist and have to say I'm confident we will win the next three games .....Newcastle (H) Reading (A) and Man City (H)

Our home record v Liverpool is good but given they are battling it out with Everton for that 4th spot that is really the only game I think we will lose

As the original poster rightly said the others are all winnable........including the pretenders from B6 ....did you see Middlesboro tear them apart for a good hour on Wednesday night ?

Obviously they will be more up for it come their supporters' bi-annual Cup Final on April 20th but I really fancy us for a revenge result at Villa Park

A win or even a draw over in Perry Barr however should see us safe by then

I can't see doing it against Man City, but I love your optimism.

man city at st andrews is possibly our easiest game imo, iv seen them a few times recently, theyb dont get stuck in they are very half hearted, imo our tough games are, liverpool (h), vile (a), wigan (a), the rest i expect at least a draw. :banner:

Liverpool must beat Arsenal in the European Cup.

Because then they will be in the semi-finals and play the first leg on the 23rd April - 3 days before us - and the second leg four days later.

Come on Liverpool

Im more optimistic that we are playing Man C, Everton Lpool - because given our performances against the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Man U compared to Reading, Fulham, Derby - we seem to do better against the big teams!

that is a very relevant point... how often do Liverpool ease up in the league with a european match to come? well spotted - let's hope they get to the semis!
