Larsson's injury is bad news and he could be out for a couple of weeks. Seeing Parnaby tonight shows that we need attacking thrust from our flanks, McSheff has been BS this season but with Kapo injured we have no choice on the left. So now De Ridder must be given a chance, quite a few fans have been vocal on the boards for him to be picked and now is the time to let him loose if he fluffs it so be it but surely can't be worse the McSheff.

the other alternative would be 3 central mids. Nafti at the base with Muamba and DJ infront, this would allow Forsell, McFadds and Zarate (free role) to play in the same team.

For me, give De Ridder his chance I have a feeling he'll deliver.

The problem is that Larsson is one player who you can't replace. We won't know the scan results until later today, but it could be the end of his season.

Agree about McSheff, but I feel De Ridder is a risk at this point of the season, although worth a place on the bench I would have thought. Hopefully Kapo is due a return soon - he is the only real creative player we have apart from Seb.

massive massive blow if seb is out for any games, the whole balance of the team went when he went off, looking at who is available it is looking bleak,my guess kapo is close so he could come in ,Mcsheff is there for his defensive duties as he is giving nothing going forward,
last night in the first half we should have attacked both flanks and got behind their shaky defence but we failed to get that second goal which would have killed them off, jittery defending again ,if we cannot keep some clean sheets then we are making life very hard ,
but thats blues for you.

I think the problem with De Ridder is he is too lightweight and doesnt get stuck in as with larsson will get his foot in as well as be attacking with the ball. Im not sure if DDR is the answer or not but i bet AM will play Nafti in the centre with DJ wide right if Larsson is injured now.

I think thats our best chance really. After watching the team yesterday, DJ didn't play as well off the ball as normal. Switching him to the right and put Nafti in the middle is probably the only real option available to us. De Ridder should get a place on the bench though and be brought on if we're chasing the game. His lack of experience of a relegation battle could well hinder us...
