Docked points. Fined. Relegated. Suspended. Depends on what the crime was I suppose.

The Sun's website has been updated and has toned it down from being an "early morning raid" to saying that police arrived and took away documents with the full cooperation of the club. Almost certainly nothing to worry about at all and, as others have said, probably about the Cisse deal which is still under investigation.

When the Lord Steven's Enquiry began, we were amongst those clubs having transfers checked for the time period.
A few clubs have changed ownership since Stevens began. West Ham, Newcastle and Villa. And we were in the process of changing as well.

Imo wisel is closest. It is coming out of Portsmouth and the London Media's second favourite after Venables - Mr Wheel and Deal himself.

When you consider the clubs involved in Stevens originally (and some still haven't been cleared.) Then you consider the clubs that changed ownership.
Karren was trying to go. Our owners had had enough.

Is it all coincidence? Or what?

Just a thought before posts start getting deleted and stuff:

In lieu of topic and the ongoing nature of the issue to the club, would it be wise to set the boundaries that this topic is allowed to reach?

I'm sorry if this has slipped under a little.

But what an awful, awful statement. It tells us NOTHING. Nothing at all, it just tells us they are cooperating with police. Why? Could they not have hinted to their own fans what is going on?

The club is part of an ongoing police investigation. They are restricted by law as to how much they can say so as to not affect any subsequent court cases that may or may not happen.

freedom of speech should be alowed especilay seening as this is just peoples opinions non of us know what this is realy about or who is involved so no harm can be done.

But it says absolutely diddly squat. It doesn't say it was in relation to corruption/takeover/transfers/someone at the club being arrested for being a drug barron. I appreciate they can't say alot. But it left me totally in the dark.

It was in response to the early news.

They were not specific either. As any good solicitor will tell you, say nothing.

"it's a minor incident, and shouldn't affect the club in any way"

I just heard it was about tax evasion of a third party. Nothing to do with the ongoing enquiry.

May be they want to know what payments were made to someone, to check they declared it.

Danny Kaye had it right:

"The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true."

Course they were bloody connected with the club. Any agent that has had dealings with us is "connected". Doesn't mean to say they were naughty.

Birmingham City will hopefully be found...

clear of everything.

It's not like them to do illegal stuff in football so let's just hope it is a false alarm and everything goes back to normal.

Managing director Karren Brady added: "We are co-operating fully with the police in their investigation, which is in connection with a third party."

Lighten Up Everyone.

Especially the journos at the Daily Mail - " police swoop" - "dawn raid"- and when they say its nothing to do with the Steven's enquiry, they then put a list of those involved or arrested through the Steven's enquiry.

BS Baffles Brains.
