Sweden name squad for Brazil friendly
STOCKHOLM, March 19 (Reuters) - Sweden coach Lars Lagerback on Wednesday named a 20-man squad for next week's friendly against Brazil in London.
Sweden, who are drawn with Spain, Russia and Greece at this summer's European championships, take on the Brazilians on March 26 at the Emirates stadium.
Squad
Goalkeepers: Andreas Isaksson (Manchester City), Rami Shaaban (Hammarby)
Defenders: Erik Edman (Wigan Athletic), Daniel Majstorovic (FC Basel), Olof Mellberg (Aston Villa), Mikael Nilsson (Panathinaikos), Niclas Alexandersson (IFK Gothenburg), Fredrik Risp (Ankaraspor), Fredrik Stoor (Rosenborg Trondheim)
Midfielders: Daniel Andersson (Malmo), Kennedy Bakircioglu (Ajax Amsterdam), Kim Kallstrom (Olympique Lyon), Anders Svensson (Elfsborg), Christian Wilhelmsson (Deportivo Coruna), Sebastian Larsson (Birmingham City), Fredrik Ljungberg (West Ham United)
Forwards: Marcus Allback (FC Copenhagen), Johan Elmander (Toulouse), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter Milan), Markus Rosenberg (Werder Bremen)

This would seem to indicate that Larsson may not be as injured as first thought. Either that or the Swedes don't know either.

Still, I'm slightly more hopeful that he may be OK. **thumbup

Looks like Larsson is going to be ok (see link), could even be fit for Saturday. Great news and a great relief, going to be very important to have him playing if we are to get the points we need to stay up.

Great news. I still think Butt should get a massively extended suspension, partly because it was malicious, and partly because I dislike the man. 10 match at least.

Excellent! Great news.

I just hope that they make sure he is 100% on Saturday as I'd rather lose him for 1 match than the remaining 8...

*Breathes a huge sigh of relief* If Seb is back for the weekend, or even the Man City game then it's brilliant news.

It's on Teletext as well, so it must be true

Seb reckons he could be fit for Saturday :applause:

DDR on the bench would possibly be a good idea though - just in case.
