why do some people on here slate muamba? fair enough he doesnt hit the target 99% of the time, but we cant put all our hopes of avoiding relegation on his goal scoring abilities. mcfadden must get paid 3 times what he's on and he still blasts half his shots wide. give the bloke a break, he was by far our man of the match against newcastle and people still moan about him. what more do you want! KRO :Blues: |

I think Muamba's play has improved considerably, especially in his passing. There are still aspects of his game that need a lot of work, but this player is going to be a real star. It's just a pity some people don't have the patience. Is it any wonder that we don't play our youngsters from the reserves? Fans here want the finished article immediately and quote the names of other players who were stars at that age, without realising that those players were exceptions. Just give Muamba the chance and the support and he will do well for us. |

Its not just Muamba, there seems to be some sort of rotation policy amongst 'supporters' one week its Muamba next week DJ, the following week Maik Taylor closely followed by McSheffrey and Ridgewell. For a change someone might slaughter Jerome. If there was a league for our 'expert fans' ripping into our players we might not win the league but we'd certainly qualify for Europe every season. |

To be honest, his shooting against Newcastle was alot better than normal.. he had one shot that I was convinced was going in, that one on the rebound... yes he did muck up that one after that good move.. but still. Shows what a goal can do to you. |

I had to watch the game on television. At one point in the second half Muamba used strength and control to leave two Newcastle players behind then passed accurately and constructively out to the wing. It was a moment to justify the 'new Vieira' talk, but the commentator simply said, 'Oh, it ran kindly for him there'. I'm an exiled bluenose, but from watching the occasional live game plus every televised game, I get the impression that Muamba will be massive. He's only a kid, give him time. |

Muamba will be a far better player for us when he can sit in the DJ role and have a more natural attacking midfielder playing along side him IMO. I am sure AM is trying to get Fab to attack more until he can address the situation in the summer. The only player on our books at the minute who could play there is Seb but how can you switch him when hes playing so well on the right. |

Muamba for me has been brilliant this season. The way he breaks up the play is brilliant, also since mcleish came in he has started to drive forward with and without the ball giving great support to the forwards. Yes at time he misplaces a pass and a shot , but i think in the last few months both his passing and shooting have come on leaps and bounds. If we stay up , next season he will be a real star i think. |

I think people will be happier with Muamba when he plays alongside a more skilful centre midfielder. Then he can concentrate on doing what he's best at - tackling and breaking up play. |

i kno he is a good player, i realy rate him and last season he was a fan favourite. im just sayin the odd few people need to open their eyes. i agree with who ever said they change week in week out. i get people round me, even one very annoying season ticket holder, moaning at every single mistake we make, saying they dont cut the mustard, OR words to that effect. just annoys me at the fact that they couldnt do better than the kids who do crossbar challenge at half time. :banner: |

He seems clumsy to me, he will play well with some good passes and tackles, and then he will do something like pass the ball 5 yards, straight to an opposing player! He will get better in time, as he is only young, but i would rather see him play there with Nafti, to take the weight of his shoulders a bit. Too inconsistent at the moment, but has the making to be a very good midfielder in time |

Muamba, ahh how we love him. he's brilliant, but he's also rubbish. thats the easiest way to describe him. he always breaks up play really well, has the guiness world record for taking most shots without hitting the net (what a talent) but his passing...one game sits great, the next its poor , a guy mentioned in another post on here that he needs another year. I think i'm gonna b a sheep and agree with him. |
