Looking at the comments he made today, looks like Jaidi will be dropped - with Ridgewell out too, maybe we will get the defensive shake up that many of us seem to think is needed. I like listening to McLeish's after match comments on Sky - it is clear that he is tactically astute and has an intelligent football brain. it's definitiely better than the old 'get up and at 'em' stuff we heard so much of for years. It's not looking good - BUT, if we can get a back 4 together that's a little tighter we still have a slim chance ('though we will need Kapo back now that McFadden is sidelined). Fingers crossed eh... |

I have to say, I've got a lot of time for McLeish. I was a little concerned when he was announced as our manager after some comments I've read/heard by Rangers fans in the past, but I really like the guy. As a manager and a person. He seems genuine in everything he does. He doesn't get panicked or make rash decisions. He seems to be very much on the ball! As for his comments, I reckon the fact that before the game he was saying that the defenders have got to prove they can hold onto the shirt rather than Tiny going straight back into the squad, I don't think anyone really proved they were good enough to keep Tiny out. And McLeish obviously recognises that and fair play to the chap! Not afraid to admit if he's made a mistake. |

Both Ridgewell and Jaidi were found wanting today so its probably just a well that Ridewell is being rested for 2 games. I expect Taylor to come in but not sure if jaidi will be replaced. Mcleish must be really gutted after giving away this game. |

I really like McLeish. I was reading his comments about not psyching the players up and telling them every game is the most important in their career. It only makes players tense and restricts them, as they don't want to be the one making a mistake they don't play naturally. A player is either naturally good enough or he's not. Very Wenger-esque. And that is saying A LOT. It seems to be a building process with McLeish. As it was with Mourinho in his first season at Chelsea. We're looking like a very dangerous side. Where as under Bruce we were just a bunch of push overs. |

don't think we were pushovers under Bruce. We work harder now, play better now, but are still very prone to mistakes. A bit like a whole team fo Darren Purse's. |

Firstly I want McCleish to be our manager next season. Secondly I watched the Sky interview after Reading and he was relaxed and smiling. Now this is either a guy who has no worries or someone resigned to the fates ... or someone who come the end of the season is going to say to the Board "I told you so ... if you want to keep your money in your pockets you can do it without me." It has been mentioned in the media on more than one occasion that he is mega ambitious. Blues have given him a stepping stone to greater things in the Premiership and relegation won't tarnish that. He'll be gone with the others at the end of the season. If Queiroz leaves Manure, he'll replace him and be groomed as AF's replacement. |

I think McLeish has been a breath of fresh air. Not everything has gone his way, and he's made some mistakes, but his attitude is brilliant. He sounds far more professional in the after match interviews than many managers. It's nice to listen to our manager without feeling embarrased. I actually think his relaxed style is because he can see no advantage in spreading panic amonst the team. My bet is that he hands out a few rollickings, but generally preaches the message that if we keep creating and taking chances and cut out the silly errors at the back we will comfortably survive. Personally, I prefer that style to the 'blame the pitch/ref/luck/weather/anything' style of other managers that we see. Surely if the players think that fate is conspiring against them then they'll start to question whether anything they do will be enough. Also, apart from defensive mistakes, I like the way we play football under McLeish. If we go down I really hope he stays. I actually think he will - but for how long is another question. |

What's the lottery numbers next week? McLeish realises being worried doesn't change the team's performance. He knows it requires all the aspects to be correct, mind, mentality, training, understanding of tactics across to the players. Throwing a fit every week like Bruce did doesn't help. Whatever McLeish is doing behind the scenes it works. The future looks very bright. We don't live with the frustration of saying nothing is being done behind the scenes, we can see the changes. McLeish has not achieved enough to be poached by a bigger club. He'll have to make us a bigger club in order to achieve that, and in all likelyness if he does that he'll probably want to stay. Be positive. We've a good manager and all you're thinking about is him leaving. You need to evaluate the way you look at situations my friend. |

I don't think there is many Bluenoses that don't rate or dislike Alex McLeish. He is a top bloke and a good manager. He was just what we needed at the start of the season and i will not knock him even if we go down. If we had a full season under him instead of a half season we would not be were we are now. Well done Alex keep up the good work.....KRO |

Yeah - keep up the good work Alex - Just 3 wins since you took the reigns. I like him as a bloke, but i used to say that about Brucey. In my opinion, nothing at all has changed, and with all of this usual board tripe about getting rid of everyone decent if we went down 'because it worked well before' or even not spending silly money if we stop up is just getting me so down. There are seven us mates in a row, all season ticket holders, and this, regardless of division, is our last year, which is a shame. Whay are people praising and loving McCleish?? Yes I know he needs time, and I agree with that, but please don't rain plaudits down on him when he has done nothing. |
