david gould has admitted there will be a fire sale if city do not stay up with james mcfadden a certain to go as well as forssell gold said "you have to cut costs and we have plans to do that. the big ticket items have to go. it worked well last time" well let me tell you mr gold your lack of investment in january may cost this club a place in the prem and when season ticket renewal begging letters come round we will not sell our best player we are not aselling club we always have and always will be a selling club with this current board i for one may keep my money in my pocket as you always seem to do. what happened to we have learnt from the mistakes of last time we were in the prem. |

gold lack of spending......................... He got given the money to spend but targets didnt want to come to birmingham city simple as. We are in a relegation battle not champions league fight so why would the top players want to come to us. We got murphy and mcfadden due to links with mcleish and players wanting to play for him, i think we have a squad that is capable of of surviving and im sure beofre the newcastle game you was singing out praises, but no as soon as we have a bad result you jump on the bandwagon and blame who everyone else blames...The board!!!!!! The board dont sign players AM does, the board doesnt get on that pitch and play, the players do Maybe you and other fans negativity is the result of us getting relegated and you lot critisising players and the management and never being happy instead of supporting the team..... |

This is sort of a message to everyone that just wants to hate the club at the moment, i have to say I am so so angry at how things are going but more than that I am just plain upset. Because since AM has came we are palying better football, but are defence has turned to poo. Did he sign those defenders...No? he's made a great aquistion in Murphy, god I used to hate quedrue being in the team. I just want to say everyone keep chearing them on to the end because its gonna hurt like hell if we go down and throwing abuse at the manager, the board or the team won't help. if you want them to play for the shirt, for the club, for you, then you have to make them feel loved. this is sorta to scare you into a bit but imagine what line up we could be playing if we were relegated ------Maik taylor (38 years old)----- Parnaby-----Tiny-----Shmitz/ridgewell-----Murphy De Ridder-------Johnson-----Nafti-------McSheffery -------------------Jerome-------O'conner the Likes of kapo, Muamba, Larsson, Kelly, Zarate, Mcfadden, forsell won't be hear and the if their is a main reason of if we were go down then its probally because if you look at my predicted defence for if we got relegated its really no different from are current back 4. we can't keep clean sheets, we can't defend set pieces, we can't keep with fast strikers. |

No i dont have a season ticket but i have only missed three games all year at home and iv seen every away game, over the internet or TV. Why whats your point!! i know that since AM has arrived we have played much better football and everytime we go forward we look dangerous. Ok at the back is not the best but as long as we score more goals than the opponent i dont care until next season. NO one knows how much Am was given and neither do you, your just speculating that he wasnt given enough. You dont know if there is a fee that has been payed for zarates services or signing on fees for murphy and mcfadden. We didnt raise that much cash from the sale of players so this is all coming out of the budget. He spent £7million on murphy and mcfadden + signing on fees Zarate i would definetly think we have payed a fee so say another £500,000 (maybe more) thats a minimum £7.5 million some clubs in the premiership havent spent that during the whole season let alone january and we havent included the rest yet. So if you think that there where players out there that could of been brought for a realistic price name them, and also that are better than the ones we already have then ild like to know becuase i cant name any that would come to us in a relegation battle. |

It makes me laugh when I hear fans assuming that David Gold/Sullivan have dug into their own pockets to finance the signings of McFadden and Murphy. I would still like to know where the transfer money went when we sold Heskey/Pennant/Upson etc, plus the £15m Yeung put into the club and of course, the lucrative TV money which was used as a carrot to gain promotion last season. |

if he does its because we've probally benefitted his career, regular football, he is scoring, and he is with his ex national team manger so they have good understanding. but, I think he can do a job in the premierhip, if someone offered us 6 - 7 mill, we'd sell him. it would have to be done, we cnt aford these sorts of players in the championship. I just so badly want us to stay up because I think Mcleish is the man to rebuild us! he knows what sorts of players would benfit us...it just had to be said, cahill is doing well at Bolton, Mcleish knew what he was talking about after all. With bruce we'd win a few and then get beat the rest of the time, with mcleish we have won less often, but played better football and been less likely to sacrifice points as we draw often. Thing is we aint beating the teams around us but are doing well aginst the top teams.. results wise i dnt know who's done better, but really, this is bruces squad, with an injectiong of talent from mcleish e.g the recall of forsell, loan of zarate, signings of mcfadden and murphy. AM is the man for me, I hope more than anything that we stay up this season. |

I agree 100% mate, I still think will stay up and the likes of sunderland, wigan and middlesbourough will not pull away further I am sure and will drop points, we just need to get a result against man city, to keep us in with a chance, I fancey us against them if bolton can get a draw why cant we or do better, we must get behind the team, none of this uncertainty and lack of cheering we need 100% atmousphere throughout whatever the cause, I know thats not gonna happen but look at fulham against evertone, not once in that game did the fans be quite, and you could blaently see that the team benifited from it, we are a good team an premiership team we just need to get rid of these stupid little errors that keep costing us. |

:Blues: In the event that we go down do you think AM will stay????? I dont think so.He is here for the Prem not for any other reason. Also with us being a selling team no matter what div we play in we are never going to attract good quality players in abundance. If this is the case then we will continue on the same old road a second rated, second city club. It is written that Blues were always a good second div club but not a good 1st div club and so the show goes on. |

I've been very supportive of the board in the past because they really did turn the club around. However this year more than ever it's become obvious that you need to speculate to accumulate and that gold and Sully aren't prepared to borrow money for the club to do this, let alone spend their own. The 'fire sale' story rings sadly true and I'm afraid that if it happens, then I won't be renewing next year. Even if we stay up, I'm keeping my hand in my pocket until I see the board stick their hands in theirs first. Tired of 'make do and mend' and being in dogfights. TBH it ruins my Saturdays for 38 weeks at year at the moment feed.back :crying: |

:Blues: Yes I am tired but I am Bluenose/Beau Brummie thru and thru no matter how dire things get. 38 weeks is a bit OTT we do tend to do a couple of suprises every now and then. Here is food for thought: Does the club stand to make more money from relegation in terms of quick wins in parachute payments and sale of players, or does staying in the Prem make them more money having to fork out for a prem team ?????? Football is secondary business is primary |

therein lies the real crux of the problem. sullivan has openly admitted that he and the board much preferred it when we were fighting off relegation from the old second division to the third, the promotion season under barry fry etc etc. and deep down (aside from the chance to beat villa twice a season) maybe we all preferred that too. difficult thing to guage really cos i have enjoyed many of the games this season, our performances against the london teams has lifted us somewhat. the board is happy and content with the idea that we, like west brom, ipswich, watford and norwich are mainly a championship club that spends the occasional season stint in the top flight collecting vast (£60m) profits that mostly swell up in the shareholders pockets and in the hands of the board. if sunderland can spend big to ensure their 16th or 17th place finish then why the hell can't we? this will become an endless cycle. we have after all been a yo yo club for many years not just since sullivan arrived. i always liked blues as that sort of club anyway and never wanted us to be like man utd and corporate and filled with prawn sarnie eating twits. yet back then we only paid a tenner to watch. I CAN PUT UP WITH WHAT SULLIVAN IS ACCEPTING IF AND ONLY IF THEY BRING THE PRICES DOWN TO MATCH THEIR 'AMBITION'. ALL MATCHES NEXT SEASON SHOULD BE £20 TOPS!!!!!!! we wouldnt have cause to moan so much then. and ive gotta fork out close to £400 for a season ticket this week £20 a game times 23 games is £460 - WHAT A BARGAIN MY ST WILL PROVE TO BE - NOT!!!! |

If relegated Forssell would go, Jaidi is going anyway, so to Queudrue. Nafti will be out of contract. O'Connor definitely going anyway. Maik taylor is going anyway, I think (too old for mcLEish). Schmitz is on loan and won't re-sign. Damien Johnson's days are numbered???? Jordan Mutch will play! As will Keieren Pearce! Bring back Aluko! If we stay up: Forssell will stay, and possibly nafti. Others are going anyway. |
