With Faddy out for the next two games (lets hope it's just that and no more) and Kapo being now free from injury.

How about playing Kapo up front with Forssell.

My thinking is that Kapo and McFadden are both similar types of player. Kapo is quite good in the air and he's also quite quick. We all know he can shoot, when he was playing behind Jerome he bagged 5goals.

What we haven't seen is a Kapo Forsell partnership. I think they are both intelligent footballers and will link up well.

feed.back

This is just an idea. Just having Kapo back in the team will i think prove beneficial.

very beneficial

i think we missed a player like kapo against newcastle, i didnt go to reading but by the looks of it he wud hav smashed in the chances that mcsheffrey had, if he was in that position

but would he have got in that position?

Kapo will be a midfielder in a 4-4-2, and this is correct. Zarate and Kapo on the same pitch together? Or put Jerome back in? :banner:

How about 4-3-3 with Kapo and Zarate supporting Forssell.

-----------------------------------Taylor------------------------------

---Kelly-------------Jaidi-----------------------Taylor--------------------Murphy

-------------------Larsson---------Nafti--------------Muamba--------------------

----------------Zarate-----------------------------------------Kapo--------------

------------------------------------Forssell-------------------------------------

This way they can drop into midfield to help out or push on to attack. Muamba and Nafti can break up the attacks and larsson can be the creative element proving passes to the forwards.

I admit it is narrow and the three in midfield could get over run but i like the idea.

i doubt them 3 would get over run, they would run all day, plus 2 of them break up play tremendously so they r pretty much like defenders on occasions

I like this one: although taylor has to be the right sided defender. (for some reason he can't play laeft sided)

i agree wholeheartedly to an extent.

however, jaidi and taylor? with the pace of vassell up front, i dont think so.

taylor/jaidi to mark benjani out the game

kelly centre back, johnson right back

kelly looked solid there against arsenal, played there for ireland before, and is pacey, and johnson i still feel can do a job there, well over parnaby anyway

I agree with what you are saying about the slow Cb's i was just thinking that with the changing of the formation the back four would benefit more if they stayed as similar as pos.

I think Kelly is a terrific RB, i was just trying to keep him in his natural position.

I have to say i would rather parnaby a Rb over Johnson, i'd like to keep players in their natural positions as much as possible.

I doubt Kapo will be match fit or match sharp to start the game. I can see him coming on as a sub

A weeks worth of training, should be fit enough.

Interesting looking formation. Only problem with it is we know Forssell can't play up front on his own. Where as Jerome always looks better playing as a lone striker...

I'd still stick with a 4-4-2 and put Kapo in for McSheffrey. No point in shoe-horning a player into the squad when there is someone out of form playing in a position Kapo was owning before he got injured.

He could easily last 60-70 minutes with a weeks training behind him.

How is he gonna get this "match sharpness" if he isnt given enough time to ply his trade
